Secrets;
It's been a week since Alex and Theodore's little fight and the bruise on Alex's nose is still very visible along with Theo's bruise on his eye.
I was in the common room with Wren, Miranda had a study thing and Alex had detention.
"I can't believe Alex is stuck in there with that git," Wren said as we were laying on the sofa.
"I know. I feel awful, he only did it because of what they were saying to me," I pouted.
Wren shook his head as he sat up slightly, "I would've myself if Alex didn't beat me to it. The guy was being rude to my best friend." I shot him a small smile.
The door to the common room opened and we turned to see Alex walk in. "Alex! You're back," I smile as I sit up on the sofa.
"How was it mate?" Wren asked, probably waiting to hear how they killed each other.
"It was alright, Snape was there. Oh and y/n, Ginny is outside said she needed to speak to you," he said and I rose my brows before standing up.
"Thanks," I mumble and walk outside.
Ginny was leaning on the walls, playing with her fingers before she noticed me and stood up. "Hey!" She smiled as she came over and hugged me.
"Hello, Alex said you wanted to speak to me?" I question and she nods her head, "Yes, I'm going to Hogwarts and thought you might want to come."
I haven't been to Hogwarts in a while, since I came here actually so I guess it wouldn't kill anyone to go. "Alright, I'll be right back," I smile and go change my clothes.
-
"I really am sorry about what happened to you at the Slytherins stupid party. It sucked that they did it for no reason really," she frowns.
Ginny and I were currently walking through the thick snow as we made our way to Hogsmead. It was pretty crowded everywhere with students as everyone is most likely at the three broomsticks.
"Yeah, I should've known better honestly," I sighed as I kicked some now.
Ginny stopped me as we reached just outside the three broomsticks. "If I was there I would've honestly hexed each and every one of them. The only people that find it funny are the Slytherins, trust me no one else is laughing."
"Thanks, Gin," I smiled weakly as I wrapped my arm around her shoulder.
I shivered slightly as the cold air brushed against my face. "No problem. Now let's go inside, I'm freezing," she said and I agreed as I rushed past her and headed inside.
We found a table in the far corner and ordered butterbeer as we talked and caught up. Ginny and I became friends in my third year but we became really close during the yule ball. Despite going with my friend, I was bored out of my mind and that resulted in me talking to Ginny the whole night.
She's great company, despite loving my friends to bits, sometimes I just need to be with someone outside of the friend group.
"-And then I was like, 'Ron, you can't use my bra as a slingshot.' It was hilarious, he acted as if he's never seen anything like it before. Even Fred knew what it was," she laughed.
The Weasleys are terribly kind and funny may I add, I've spent a night over at their house during the summer before fifth and they were lovely. My parents would never approve but they don't need to know everything.
I love Ron endlessly, he's been the person I go to when I need a laugh. We've been friends ever since our third year, I'd say I'm the closest with him than the other two of his group.
"Hey, Ginny!" We calmed our laughter down as we saw Dean approach our table. Ginny rolled her eyes as she took a sip of her butterbeer.
Oh...boy.
"You know, Miranda should be heading back now and I should go keep her company. Dean would you like to take a seat?" I offered and the young boy nodded politely.
He helped me up and I gave him a quick hug before winking at Ginny. 'Be nice' I mumbled and walked towards the exit.
Ginny told me how she's been having problems with Dean and I don't want to interfere but I know they need to talk some things out.
As I was departing the pub, I bumped into a hard body. "I'm so sorry- Oh! Ronald!" I cheered as I pulled the ginger boy into a hug before I greeted Hermione and Harry.
"Hello, y/n," he chuckled as he pulled away.
"Hi, guys. Sorry, I didn't see where I was going," I said which made them chuckle. "No, worries. Care for a butterbeer?" Hermione asked.
I shook my head as I explained to them I just had one. I don't think my stomach could handle another batch. "Thank, though. I'll see you guys tomorrow for school," I smile and hug each of them before leaving the three broomsticks.
As I walked out, my bracelet got caught in my gloves which was beginning to hurt so I was fixing it but didn't realise that the ground was a little slippery.
Being the clutz I am, I began to slip and lose my balance. Thinking I was going to fall, I shriek slightly but a pair of strong arms held me up.
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed, fixing my hair before looking up to see who it was.
I held a scowl on my face as I was staring at Draco. "Nevermind, I take that back," I huff.
"Whatever, the least you could do was be thankful," he snapped and I growled lowly before shrugging him off.
"And the least you could do is be sympathetic," I mumbled and shoved past him, making sure my shoulders bumped his.
I stopped in my tracks, guilt overcoming me pretty quickly. I turn around and yell, "Thank you! But don't think I'm being nice."
Not waiting to hear what he has to say, I walk down the snowy pathway and head to the bookshop before heading back to the castle.
-
"Stupid Malfoy! Stupid snow! Stupid hair!" I mumbled pretty angrily to myself as I tickled the pear.
My hair was beginning to get in my face, the snow was deep in my boots and gloves and Malfoy's annoying face has been in my mind for the past hour.
"Y/n!" I snap out of my thoughts to be met with my friends on the couch, Wren in the same position I left him about two hours ago.
I walk up and sit on the sofa next to Miranda. "Have you even left that spot since I went?" I asked Wren who shook his head with pride.
"Merlin, he asked me for a foot rub you know," Alex joked as he sat up.
"Thank heavens I wasn't here for that argument!" I interjected and took off my boots, rubbing my own feet.
"Are your boots wet?" Miranda asked, eyeing me carefully. "Yeah, why?"
"I've been practicing a new charm. Mind if I dry them?" She asked, smiling at me with a pleading look. "Knock yourself out," I chuckle and kick my boots towards her.
I chuckle at her excitement over my wet boots and turn to see Alex looking at me. "Y/n, can I ask you something?" He asked and I nodded my head.
"Well, you know how I went to Slughorns dinner party, right?" Alex asked and I nodded my head, remembering his constant complaint about it.
"Well, he is having a Christmas party and I was wondering if you would like to come," he smiled as he waited for an answer. "As friends, of course," he quickly interjected.
Wren and Miranda were looking at me suddenly with weird looks in their eyes and I shrugged it off before turning my attention back to Alex. "Yeah, sure. It sounds fun," I smiled.
"Great, I didn't want to take a date. It'll be fun with you," he smiled as he stood up.
He dragged Wren up their dormitory with a struggle and left me there confused. I turned to Miranda who had a weird smirk plastered on her face, I was scared.
"Stop looking at me like that you creep," I said and she rolled her eyes before going back to my boots.
