Loneliness;

It's been approximately 6 days and 3 hours since my friends found about Draco and I. We haven't spoken a single word since what happened in the hallway.

Wren glares at me every chance he gets, it's a miracle the way he doesn't even try to hide it. Alexander stares at me with a pitiful look every time our eyes meet and Miranda keeps her head down.

On the bright side, Ginny is actually talking to me. I told her, I considered it was the least I could do considering every one of my friends already knew.

Draco is still not back yet, he's been in the infirmary since. I visit him every day, other than dinner - strict rules from Ms. Weasley.

I was currently having dinner with Hermione and Ginny. Harry was with Ron doing Merlin knows what.

"Can you believe it? I worked so hard on that essay," Hermione complained.

"No, Hermione. I cannot believe that professor Snape graded you an A. It's almost like you're a Gryffindor and not to mention a muggle-born know-it-all," Ginny sarcastically stated.

I couldn't help but let out a chuckle as Hermione groaned, aiming to complete her work. "If it helps, he never really liked me either," I shrugged.

"Yeah but you're a 'pureblood', even though you're a Hufflepuff you're not unworthy in his eyes," Hermione said, rolling her eyes.

Ginny shook her hands, signalling for me to ignore her as she goes over her work.

"Are they still not talking to you?" Ginny asked, pointing behind Hermione where Wren and Alex were sitting.

I let out a sigh as I shook my head, it was unbelievable how they're still not talking to me. I didn't commit a crime, I simply fell for someone. "No," I frowned.

"Honestly, they should get over it. It's been nearly a week," Ginny groaned, putting a chicken in her mouth.

"Ginny, they're just hurt. Honestly, if I was having a torrid affair with Malfoy you'd react the same way," Hermione clarified.

Torrid affair? "We aren't having a torrid affair," I correct.

Ignoring me, they continue their conversation. "Yeah but I would've gotten over it. I'm a girl, I understand these things," Ginny shrugged.

"Okay...Harry and Ron wouldn't be too happy," she points. "Babe, Ronald has the emotional range of a teaspoon. Harry is just an oblivious mess in general," Ginny says.

My 'affair', as Hermione put it, has changed into a conversation regarding what their loved ones would do if they were to each date Malfoy.

Not that I'm complaining or anything. I took a quick glance at my two friends only to see Wren staring at me. Once he noticed, his stare turned into a glare and he dropped his head back towards Alex.

"I'm going to eh- go, I'll see you guys tomorrow," I sigh, grabbing my bag as I get up and leave.

"Uh-huh! Say hello to Malfoy," Ginny sings, smirking at me.

I roll my eyes and shoot her a playful glare before I walk towards the exit.

Once I made a turn, I accidentally bumped into someone. "Sorry," I quickly apologise, rubbing my head.

I look up to see Miranda. "Oh-Eh, I'm-" I start, completely clueless on what to do in a situation like this.

"Excuse me," she sighed, walking past me.

I let out a sigh and continued my destination to the infirmary. Miranda looked absolutely dreadful, almost as if she had been crying. I wanted to pull her into a hug at an instant but it was obvious she would've shoved me off.
