TW: Mature Scenes Ahead!!

The next day I groaned as the sun shone brightly on my face. I felt happy for a slight second before memories of yesterday flashed through my mind.

Alex.

I got ready as quickly as possible and headed down to the common room, my friends weren't there so I only assumed they were at the Great Hall.

Once I arrive at the Great Hall, I instantly notice my friends sitting down. Miranda's head jolted in my direction then one by one the other two looked up.

I avoided Alex's gaze at an instant and walked over to the Gryffindor table where Ginny was sat with Harry, Neville and Hermione.

"Hi guys," I smile as I take a seat opposite Ginny, next to Ron.

"Hey, I see you remembered us," Ginny giggled.

I shot them a smile, "Of course. Where is Ronald?" They all groaned, all but Neville, and Harry finally spoke up.

"I advise you not to look but if you look down the table you'll see a fully engaged snog session," Harry said, rolling eyes.

Out of curiosity, I look down the table to see a perky Lavender Brown with her tongue down Ronald's throat. "He doesn't look happy," I say.

"Please," Hermione scoffed, not lifting her head up from her book.

I look to Ginny, Harry and Neville who just shake their head. "Well, mind if we change the subject? I don't feel like Ronald's snogging is a great starter with food," I joke to which they laughed.

It was the end of Potions, finally, and all I wanted to do was get to the room of requirement. I felt someone tugging on my arm and I looked up to see Alex.

"Can we talk?" He asked, his voice wasn't as bubbly as usual.

I look behind him to see Wren and Miranda, looking back I nod my head and allow him to take me into an empty corridor.

"Y/n, please don't think what happened between us will change anything. You're still my best friend, I love you always and nothing will change that. Please don't distance yourself from us," he says.

I nod my head, understanding what he's saying. "Honestly, I didn't want anything to be awkward. I don't want to hurt you, Alex," I frown, looking up at him.

"I don't think you could even if you wanted to," he chuckled, pulling me into a hug.

I giggled into his shoulder as I wrapped my arms around his waist. He is my best friend, someone I never want to lose.

"What's say we all head into the garden, the weather is cool," he says, walking back.

A light glimmered in my eyes, I wanted to go but I couldn't.

"I have studying to do, I- can we reschedule for the weekend?" I smile.

He nods his head as he finally lets go of my shoulder. "Sure. But look at you, you're revising better than Miranda," he joked.

"Ha-Ha, yeah," I chuckled nervously.

I tell Alex to let Miranda and Wren know I'm sorry and will make it up to them eventually. I practically race up to the seventh floor.

I've been sitting in the room of requirement for over an hour, waiting for Draco to show up.

Nothing.

I finished my part of the cabinet so I began to pack my things, hurt at the fact that he didn't bother to show.
