-0-0- Logan's point of view -0-0-

At the end of the meeting, Thomas was the first to resign. Patton followed explaining that he had to finish dinner leaving Logan and Roman alone. Logan stood and headed towards the door.

"Logan..." Roman trailed off and he turned slowly. Logan studied Roman and waited for him to continue. "Can we meet in your room to discuss the plans?" Logan gave a quick nod and went to leave once again. He had many things he had to prepare in order to help Thomas. "I meant now." Logan turned to him and raised an eyebrow.

"Now?" He questioned evenly. He took a double take and noticed how much Roman was trembling

"Yes, I could use some logical help right now." He explained. Logan gave a curt nod then waved Roman towards the door.

"After you." He spoke as he opened the door. Roman walked past him then they both headed to Logan's room. While they walked Roman twittered about something but Logan was too deep in thought. He had to come up with an outline for Thomas's letters. He also had to write the latest announcement so that Patton would be able to quote facts correctly. He let out a long sigh as the list grew. He had to now help Roman brainstorm a way to avoid conflict. He ran a hand through his hair and noticed how upset he really was. By the end of the war, there would be a dozen more things he would have to do on top of what he already did. To say he was stressed was an understatement.

"Are you alright, Logan?" Roman asked as they came to Logan's room.

"I am satisfactory. I am only making a mental list of what I must do." He explained with a curt nod as he opened the door to his bedroom. He motioned Roman in and the knight slid in. Once inside Logan shut the door behind him and sat down in a chair. His room was simple. There was a bed, a desk and chair, a coffee table, a couch, and a rocking chair. Logan sat in the rocking chair that was across from the couch. Roman sat down on the couch, and for a few minutes they sat in silence then Roman raised his head and their eyes met.

"We know nothing about the dark Kingdom," Roman spoke. "Ever since the attack three days ago I have searched and searched our records." Logan was shocked slightly that the knight had even thought to read about the enemy. Logan had always imagined Roman as the kind of person to jump right into the fray.

"I researched the dark kingdom and I am in the dark as well." Logan frowned and shook his head "My research showed that it is a land where the strong live and the weak die. Where you must fight for your food and water. Those who can't fight are slaves." The sentence hung in the air. In the Variegate Kingdoms, it was frowned on to have slaves. If someone worked for another person they were paid properly. Roman ran a hand through his hair nervously and groaned.

"What can we do?" He asked then his head shot up "we could ask Patton!" He cried. Logan gave Roman a confused look.

"Why Patton?" He inquired. Roman was bouncing in his seat as he began to gush out his ideas.

"Patton used to live near the Dark kingdom he could tell us more about it. Once we know more we can plan our move and attack where they least expect it!"

"Absolutely not." Logan snapped causing Roman to deflate. "Patton will not be involved in any scheme you make. Do you not remember how traumatized he was when he was a child? He would not speak to either of us, only the kings could get him to speak." Roman frowned

"But then how else will we get the information we seek? The only other way would be to break-" he stopped as an idea came to him. Logan sighed as he watched the knight's face. The look he had told Logan he was about to do something ridiculous.

"Roman?" He spoke and the other grinned

"We could sneak into the castle and steal their battle plans." Logan's heart dropped. The plan could go wrong in too many ways.
