*Talk about abuse/whipping, panic/anxiety attack and feeling sick to stomach.
~~~ Roman's Point of View ~~~
Roman opened his eyes as morning light began to filter through the tent walls. He groaned as he sat up, his shoulder throbbed and the wound on his stomach gave a pang of pain. He sighed then glanced over at the other occupants in the tent. Logan was still fast asleep on his back and the stranger was still lying on his stomach completely dead to the world. Roman frowned at the man. If they had been in any other situation he would have gladly offered to help but they weren't. They were too close to the castle still, they were low on food, money, and bandages plus they didn't even know who he was. Roman groaned, a part of him was annoyed at the added responsibility while the other was excited. They had found a "damsel in distress" he was hoping to save on their trip. He smirked as he recalled all the stories of knights saving a princess. He always hoped he would find one to save but... Patton had been the one to save the man. Roman groaned as he thought that, he had his chance and blew it. He turned his gaze to the stranger and studied him. Something about him was familiar. He stood and knelt near the man, gently brushing the air away from his face. He froze as he took in the man's features. He blinked then turned to Logan and quickly shook the intellect awake.
"Logan, wake up!" he gasped. He received a groan from the man and a swat to his face. Roman scoffed then shook the other more violently
"Roman, if this is not important I swear I will use you for target practice," Logan grumbled as he groggily sat up. "May I remind you I just got off my watch," he spoke sternly then put on his glasses. Roman hesitated as he thought of that
"Sorry Logan, I forgot." he mumbled but then grabbed Logan's wrist "But that's not important! Do you know who we have in the tent?!" he questioned causing Logan to roll his eyes
"Roman do you not remember Patton bringing him here? He is the man that saved Patton's life-"
"I know that but have you looked at his face?" Roman interrupted. Logan blinked as he glanced over at the man
"No, I have not had the chance to enter this stranger's personal space and study his facial features without his consent," Logan replied cooly and Roman blushed
"Wha- I-I just wanted to know who he was!" he gasped as he tried to defend himself. Logan smirked then sighed
"Now that you know who he is, would you care to enlighten me?" Logan asked causing Roman to perk up
"He's the slave boy from the dark castle." he gasped enthusiastically. Logan blinked at the news
"You mean the man that was so poorly treated?" he questioned causing Roman to nod
"What man that was poorly treated?" a voice questioned and the two quickly turned to the mouth of the tent. Patton stood at the mouth of the tent, his hands on his hips and a spoon in one hand. Roman's eyes widened as he looked over at Logan for help. While Patton was away buying supplies, he and Logan had decided not to tell him what had happened. The happy man did not need anything to put a damper on his mood.
"Our stranger is the man that stood outside of the meeting room." Logan explained, "We met him right before we were separated, remember?" Patton nodded then squinted at Roman who nervously looked away.
"Neither of you have explained to me why we were almost caught." he reminded and Roman did his best to avoid eye contact. He had never been good at keeping things from anyone, especially Patton. "Roman..." the peppy one trailed off and Roman knew he was giving him the puppy eyes. Roman swallowed, he wanted to tell Patton but he knew it would hurt him.
