*Warning of anxious thoughts and some fluff :D

-_- -_- Virgil's point of view -_- -_-

Virgil sat by the fire, it had been a day since he had revealed Solile to the others. Roman seemed cautious of him and often glared at him but the other two were calm. Patton would ask him how Solile was and if they were hungry while Logan asked plenty of questions about the dragon. It was weird. No one had ever been interested in his well-being, let alone Solile's. He nervously bounced his leg as he waited for the others. They had left for a nearby town to get food and first-aid supplies. Even though he had known them for such a short time he couldn't help but be anxious. What if something happened to them? What if something happened to him? What if they were all captured?

"You are worrying again," Solile commented and he shook his head

"Can't help it." He grumbled as he nervously bit his thumb. A bush to his left began to shake and he jumped. "Ignis." He hissed causing a purple fire to appear in his hand. He held the flame anxiously as he waited for whatever was in the bush to come out. The shaking grew louder until a head popped out.

"My stars, that took longer than expected." Roman's voice broke through the silence as he stomped into camp. Patton followed him out of the bush next, then Logan.

"Well, it would not have taken as much time had you listened to me and taken a left." Logan retorted. Virgil stood there frozen as the two bickered until they finally noticed him. Roman let out a nervous chuckle as he eyed the purple flame in his hand.

"Hey, what you got there buddy?" He asked, raising his hands in surrender. Patton took a step forward slowly

"Hey there Virg, it's ok... It's just us." he comforted and Virgil let out a sigh. He waved his hand and the flame disappeared.

"Took you long enough." He grumbled as he sat back down on the grass. He crossed his arms to hide the fact that his hands were shaking.

"Awe, did brad pitiful miss us?" Roman teased, earning a hiss from Virgil.

"Did you just hiss at me?!" Roman scoffed and Virgil rolled his eyes.

"Shut up Princey." he huffed. Logan titled his head in confusion

"Princey? Roman is a knight, not a prince," he commented as he sat down by the fire. Virgil let out a groan

"Yeah well he is a royal pain in my-"

"Ok, it's time to start on dinner!" Patton giggled as he cut Virgil off. "Will Sol be eating with us today?" he asked and Virgil swallowed as he stared into light blue

"Uh... um... I'll ask..." he replied "Solile... would you like to eat with us?"

"Perhaps, what will we eat?" they asked and he gave a shrug

"I'll ask." he turned to Patton "What's for dinner?" Patton perked up

"Oh, well we bought some meat from the market so I was thinking some grilled meat and mashed potatoes." Patton replied as he waved a hand at the pot that sat on the fire "The potatoes have been cooking since we left." Virgil gave a nod and chuckled

"So that's what that is." he mumbled then gave a nod "I know Sol would love some meat but I'm not sure about the potatoes," he explained

"I love meat," Solile commented making Virgil chuckle. He let out a slow sigh then gave a small wave of his hand. There was a flash of purple flame and the dragon appeared by the fire, the dragon was the size of a small hound. Virgil let out a shaky breath as his head spun slightly, it took a lot of magical energy to summon Solile from her safe spot. The dragon turned quickly to Virgil and climbed up onto his lap, wrapping their tail around him. Solile let out a soft churr and rubbed their head against his hand. Virgil couldn't help but chuckle as he began to run a hand over the dragon's purple scales.
