Emily's POV:

I rush to my locker and once I reach it, I put in my combination, and run to my 1st period which was Science with Ms. Harmon.

Thankfully, her room was only a few feet away from my locker and as soon as I walk in, the late bell rings.

"Made it."

I think to myself as I choose a seat to sit down in.

This is obviously a very crucial part when it comes to your high school experience. The person that you sit next to can either become your best friend, or your worst nightmare.

I look around the room and notice that there's an empty seat next to a boy wearing a pink hoodie and has blonde hair.

He seemed nice.

I make my way over to sit next to him while Ms. Harmon introduces herself to the class.

The blonde haired boy notices my presence as I sit down next to him and he introduces himself.

"Hey, I'm Alex!" He says as he looks at me with kind eyes. I immediately knew that I made the right decision sitting next to him.

"Hi, I'm Emily! It's nice to meet you." I say as he smiles. "It's nice to meet you too!"

We then turn around as Ms. Harmon asks for our attention.

"Alright. Students, welcome to my science class! I am Ms. Harmon. Get comfortable in your seats because that is where you'll be sitting for the rest of the year."

Ms. Harmon looks around the room and smiles to herself, getting a glimpse of what her 1st period class is going to look like this year.

TIME SKIP

To briefly summarize what happened in Science, it mostly contained of Ms. Harmon explaining what she would be going over through the course of the year.

I couldn't tell you what she said because I wasn't paying much attention. That was mainly due to my thought of realization.

I realized that I never got the name of the boy that I bumped into earlier.

I'm sure that I'll see him again, considering that his friend and Betty seemed to get along really well.

The bell then rings, signaling the end of 1st period.

I look over at Alex and he looks at me too, giving me a smile before I say goodbye.

"Bye Alex! I'll see you tomorrow!" I say as I grab my backpack and walk out of the room. He then waves at me and says, "Bye Emily!"

I walk out the door and head to my 2nd period, Math with Mr. Rodriguez.

When I get there, my eyes immediately notice someone in the room, the boy that Betty bumped into earlier.

I immediately walk up to him to introduce myself.

"Hi, I'm Emily! I'm not sure if you remember but I'm friends with the girl that you bumped into this morning." He then looks up at me and flashes a big smile on his face.

"Oh, hey! I'm Reggie! And yeah don't worry, I remember you! Betty and I noticed that you and Luke bumped into each other as well." He says as I smile to myself and realize that the boy that I bumped into was Luke.

"Yeah we did, but I'm glad because we got to meet you guys!" I say as Reggie smiles, and I give him one in return. He gestures towards two empty seats, signaling that we should sit next to each other.
