Emily's POV:
Homecoming was incredible. We all danced the night away and after, we all decided to crash at my place since my mom still wasn't home yet.
"What should we do?" I ask as Alex plops on the couch. "Sleep." He says sarcastically as I playfully rolls my eyes and throw a pillow in his face which makes everyone laugh. "As much as I hate to say it, I agree with Alex. I'm exhausted." Reggie says as he moves Alex's feet aside and sits down on the couch next to him.
"Aww c'mon. Not even a movie?" I ask as Betty yawns and shakes her head no. "Sorry babe. Maybe we can watch a movie tomorrow." Luke suggests as I offer them all to stay the night.
"I can't, my parents would get way too suspicious." Alex says as he gets up and asks who's going with him. Reggie and Betty both leave with him after saying goodnight to Luke and I.
When they leave, silence falls between Luke
and I before I break it. "You can stay here if you want." I suggest as he smiles. "Yeah, I can call my parents and tell them that I'll be staying at Reggie's or something." He says as he walks up to the phone and puts in his home number. While he's on the phone with his parents, I make my way over to the kitchen and grab a bottle of water since I was really dehydrated from all the dancing I did.
A few moments later, Luke walks in, letting me know that his parents said that it was fine. "That's great! If you're tired you can go ahead and crash on the couch or even in my room if you want." I say a bit nervous at how he'll take my offer.
I wasn't planning on doing...THAT with him. It was just a normal offer.
"Uh...y-yeah, yeah sure. I can uh..I can stay with you if you want." He says as he starts to get a bit flustered which makes me smile.
How could he be so cute?
I got my first kiss and my first boyfriend all on the same night, homecoming of all nights. It felt like a dream and if it was, then I never want to wake up.
"Of course you can stay with me. C'mon, I think I have some clothes that you can use to sleep in." I say as he furrows his brows. "Guy clothes, don't worry." I say with a light laugh and he follows me.
"So why do you have extra men's clothes in your room?" He asks as I hand him a t-shirt and some shorts. "Because, once Alex started to hang out here more often, I figured I'd buy some clothes in case any one of you were to stay the night during a sleepover or something like that." I explain as he thanks me for the clothes and goes in the bathroom to change.
I lock the door and quickly change into more comfortable clothes as well and when I finish I unlock the door and put my dress away.
The sound of the door knob turning and the door creaking open fills the room as I turn to see Luke all changed.
"Hey." I say as he stands there a bit awkwardly. Last time he was in my room, he sang me a song that he wrote for me. Now here we are, boyfriend and girlfriend and we've never even gone on a date. We just became a couple two hours ago.
"So i-if you want I could sleep on the floor o-or I can keep my distance in the bed." He says as he starts to ramble which made me giggle.
"Luke, stop being so nervous and just get on the damn bed." I say as I go to grab his hand and bring him to the bed with me. "Right, sorry." He says as I kiss his cheek and assure him that it was fine. "You're cute when you get nervous." I think out loud as he blushes and chuckles.
"Thanks. I-I don't know why I'm so nervous." He admits as we both lay down, facing each other. "I am too, but I'm better at hiding it than you are." He playfully scoffs and pulls me in closer to him while I drape a blanket over the two of us.
I bury my face in his chest while he kisses my forehead. "Goodnight, Rockstar." I say while I start to drift off into a deep sleep. "Goodnight, Princess." He says as he wraps his arms around me and we both fall asleep.
What a night.
