Emily's POV:
Once I was drawn back to my surroundings, I realize that 4th period French had ended. I stand up, grab my things and headed out the door. Once I walk into the hallway, I hear Alex calling out to me and asking me to wait for him.
"Emily! Wait for me!" He says as he pushes past people. I stop walking and turn around to see Alex now only a couple of feet away from me.
Once he catches up, I smile and greet him. "Hey Alex, what's up?" I ask as he tries to catch his breath. "Nothing much, my English teacher let us out a minute early so I decided to meet up with you." He smiles at me and gives me a side hug while we start to walk to the cafeteria.
"Awe, well thank you for choosing me to be your walking buddy to the cafeteria. I'm very honored sir Alex." I say as we both laugh and continue to talk about our classes until we reach the cafeteria. We waited in line, got our food, and walked towards the table where the guys and Betty were already waiting for us.
Reggie is the first one to notice Alex and I's arrival and says, "Hey guys! What took so long? We've been waiting for you guys for like 10 minutes."
Betty looks up while Luke and (surprisingly) Bobby turn around to face us. They all give Alex and I a look, basically showing that they were all wondering the same thing.
We both sit down while we answer Reggie's question.
Alex is the first one to speak up, saying, "Sorry man. Em and I were talking about our classes on the way here."
I then speak up and give the group the second reason as to why we took so long. "Yeah, and the line was already long when we got here so that's why we took so long."
They all nod and a couple of seconds later, Betty decides to change the topic. "So guys, what's the plan for today? Are we only gonna meet up with Reggie after school or...?" She asks.
Luke then speaks up, excited that Betty brought this topic up. "Actually we were thinking that it would be a better idea if all of us go to rehearsal together. It's only a 15 minute walk from here. Is that ok?"
Betty and I look at each other and we agree to the plan.
"Yeah, that sounds fun! At least with all of you guys going I won't have to third wheel." I say as both Betty and Reggie start blushing and they both look around the room, not daring to make eye contact with any of us.
Everyone laughs and Bobby decides to stir the pot a bit more.
"You know Emily, I could've gone with you. That way you didn't have to be a third wheel." He says with a wink.
Luke hits him on the shoulder and glares at him.
Alex turns changes the topic and says, "oh kay, well anyways back to Reggie and Betty. I think it's adorable, especially when you two can't keep your eyes off of each other."
We all agree and it was Reggie's turn to finally speak up, only he said something that none of us were expecting.
"Oh come on guys! How could I not stare at Betty! She's beautiful and I really like her!" Everyone goes silent as we all look at Reggie in shock that he actually just said that.
Betty on the other hand was as red as a tomato. She had her hands on her face and was trying to hide the huge smile that she had plastered.
The silence was then broken by me, "Aw! That's so cute! Reggie you definitely know how to compliment a girl! Betty, say something nice to Reggie!" I say as I slap Betty's arm, causing her to finally look at us.
