Emily's POV:
To say that 1st Period with Alex was weird is an understatement.
He seemed nervous, anxious, and excited all at the same time and he wouldn't tell me why.
"Alex, what's going on? Why are you acting so weird?" I ask as he just simply looks at me and says, "nothing."
Even Math with Reggie was weird. He looked like he had so much to say, but wouldn't say a word. It made me wonder if the boys talked about something after I had left. But what?
Was it about that second note they were talking about?
I guess I'll have to find out during lunch because there was no way that I wasn't going to get to the bottom of this.
TIME SKIP
4th period French with Mr. Doug helped to get my mind off of things since we spent the entire period watching interesting videos about French history.
However as soon as the bell rang, my mind instantly went back to getting to the bottom of why the boys were acting so weird.
I rushed out of class so that I could try to find Betty, and after a minute or two, I finally find her by the cafeteria.
"BETTY!" I yell from across the hall.
I obviously get some strange looks but I could care less at this moment. I didn't want to get in the lunch line alone.
She hears me and turns to look for me. When her eyes meet mine she waits for me to catch up to her.
"Excited to see me?" She teases as I finally catch up to her. Trying to catch my breath, I say after long pauses, "whatever...I just wanted...to walk with...you."
"Okay then," she says as she chuckles at how out of breath I was. "Let's get in line before those jocks get in front of us and take all of the food."
As we wait in line, I catch Betty up on what happened after she left...well obviously except for the part where the guys asked me what she thought about the note.
Once I finish explaining, she gives me a dumbfounded look. "Emily, I know I've already told you this, but you really are clueless." I look at her in shock because I was expecting for her to have the same reaction I did, but I was very wrong.
"Yet you don't tell me why I'm clueless." I respond as she just pats me on the shoulder and says, "you'll find out soon."
Again, dramatic much.
Once we get our food, we make our way to the table where the boys always sit. As we get closer to the guys, I could hear Reggie say, "Don't worry, I got this!" Which was followed with a sigh from Luke.
Betty and I sit down and the boys immediately acknowledge our presence, especially Reggie.
"Well hello ladies, fancy seeing you here." Alex facepalms as Luke mutters under his breath "oh god." Betty and I give each other a confused look as she says, "what do you mean? We always sit here, Reg."
Reggie opens his mouth to say something but is cut off by Alex saying, "what he means to say is that it is always a pleasure having you girls around." I give him a "nice save" look as I chuckle and put my attention on my food since I was starving.
A couple of minutes go by in complete silence, which was rare since the guys always had something to talk about.
I figured that this was the perfect opportunity to ask the guys why they have been acting weird today. "So boys, what's up? Why have you all been acting so weird today?" They all immediately look at each other and in their high pitched voices say,
