Luke's POV:

"Dude, how are we supposed to tell them? Alright, Betty's been begging for us to give her a chance to be our manager." Alex says as Reggie, Bobby, and I try to come up with a way to break it to the girls.

For the past couple of days, the guys and I have been looking for a manager and we finally found one today. We hired her without telling the girls.

"Yeah guys, I really don't want this to cause another fight between Betty and I." Reggie says as Alex gives him a solemn look.

Recently, Betty and Reggie haven't been on the same page. But it's not really their fault, it's Betty's parents.

Everything was fine in the beginning. They accepted Reggie into the family, but it was like a switch flipped inside them and they've both been telling Betty to break up with Reggie.

This caused many arguments between the couple. Reggie saying that he understands and that he doesn't want Betty to fight with her parents, but Betty doesn't care about what they think.

I feel bad for Reggie since we all know how much he hates to argue with people.

"Reg, everything's gonna be alright. Maybe I can talk to Lily first and try and get her to break the news to Betty gently." I say as Bobby scoffs.

"Yeah, cause it's not like she's gonna be just as upset as Betty. C'mon Luke, they're best friends. Alex's right, Betty has been begging for us to let her be our manager and you just rejected her." He snaps back.

"I did it for us. For Reggie. What do you think would've happened when they get into another fight? If they were to ever break up? We could be putting our gigs, and our band at risk. It's just better to keep our friends, slash girlfriends, separate from our band." I explain as Bobby rolls his eyes.

"Says the guy that wanted Emily to be a part of Sunset Curve." Bobby says as I start to get upset. "But she's not! She's not in the band."

"Only because she said no." Alex adds.

"So you're siding with him too?" I ask Alex. "No, look all I'm saying is that he has a point. You offered for your girlfriend to be in Sunset Curve but wouldn't let Betty join. Maybe we should just give Betty the job and tell-"

"Hey guys!" Emily says as she and Betty walk in. "Hey boys, babe I actually need to talk to you for a second." Betty says to Reggie as we all look amongst each other, worried.

"You guys okay?" Emily asks as she looks at me, seeing the worry written all over my face.

"Luke?" She says as she walks up to me. "I think we all need to talk." I say as we all signal for both girls to sit down, which they do as they sit on the couch.

"Uh...anyone wanna go first?" Alex says as he rubs his hands together, a clear sign that he was nervous.

"I'll go first. Betty...you know that you mean the world to me, right?" Reggie says as Betty's face turns into a worried look. "Are you breaking up with me?" She asks.

"What?! No-"

"Look Reg, if this is about my parents, I'm talking to them, I'm trying to change their minds. You know how they are, they're stubborn but they'll come around." She says as Emily looks at me and mouths, "did you know?"
