The One: Fred Weasley X Reader

F I F T Y - T H R E E

''Your what?'' Fred asks tiredly.

''My waters broke, I'm in labour'' 

''I'll go get mum'' Fred says jumping out the bed.

''Y/N, are you okay?'' Molly asks as she creeps into my room.

''Just panicking a bit'' I say sitting myself up in the bed. 

''It'll be okay, your going to do great angel'' Fred says as he sits on the bed. He gives me a kiss on the forehead.

''I love you, you're going to be the best dad'' 

''I love you more, you are going to be the best mum''

''I don't think it's that bad at the moment so when, you could probably go back to sleep'' Molly says. ''Just wake me if you need anything''

''Thank you Molly'' I smile.

''I'll change the covers you just sit over here'' Fred says as he helps me stand up and moves me onto the chair next to the baby's cot.

He changed the covers of the bed using magic.

''Come on love, let's get you back to bed'' He helps me get off and puts me back to bed.

I lay on my side while Fred cuddled me from behind with his hand laying on my belly. We fell back to sleep quite easily, he made me feel like everything was going to be okay. He eased my stress without even having to do much and I love him so much for that.

Today I was fine, I didn't go through much pain other than when the baby would lay on my ribs. Bill, Fleur, Ginny and Ron had left to go to Shell Cottage to make some room. Me and Fred were laying in bed slowly falling to sleep, it was quite late, around midnight. We had stayed up playing board games with the family. I was just about to fall asleep when I felt an intense pain in my belly.

''Fred I think the babies coming'' I panted trying to get through the pain. ''Get my mum, I want my mum''

''Erm okay, okay I'll go get he'' he stuttered, I could tell he was panicking.

I sat and waited for him to return just focusing on my breathing like the healer said.

''Are you alright darling?'' Mum asked as she said down on my bed, followed by Fred and Dad.

''Just in a lot of pain'' I said breathlessly.

''I'll go get Molly, she knows a lot more than us'' Dad said and headed off to get Molly.

''It's getting better now, I think I'm alright at the moment'' I said calming down.

''The contractions will come and go, they will usually last about a minute. I'll stay here till her next one.'' Molly said frantically rushing into the room with Arthur following. 

We sat and waited for my next contraction, Dad had gone downstairs with Arthur just to give us some room. It was about 15 minutes until I had my next one, I lay on my side while Fred played with my hair, comforting me.

''When the contractions to five minutes apart come get us, I trust you to look after her Fred'' Molly said as she left with Mum.

''How you feeling?'' Fred asked now that everyone was gone.

''Excited'' 

''Me too, we're going to have a baby!'' He said excitedly, a tear escaping his eye.

''Awh Freddie!'' I said giving him a cuddle when I saw the tear. ''You are going to be the most perfect dad ever''

''I love you Pea'' he says kissing my belly.
