The One: Fred Weasley X Reader

F O U R T Y - O N E

I wasn't really one for reading the newspapers but this morning I decided to look at the newspaper on the bench from a from a while ago. On the front it spoke about the collapse of a bridge in London caused by death eaters I turned my page to look at the inside 'AZKABANS NEWEST RESIDENT' 'FALLEN FROM GRACE MALFOY'S WIFE AND SON LEAVE THE TRIAL'. That's why Draco must've been so down, his father's in Azkaban. I can't believe Fred or George didn't tell me. They were already downstairs stacking the shelves, I wasn't going to bother them about it. I then apparated to Hogwarts for first period after getting my bag from our room.

I quickly got changed into my robes that Fred had bought me as a present for getting my new job, they were light a light blue colour which reminded me a bit of the Beaux batons but mine looked more formal. I put my bag into my room at Hogwarts and went to go meet Professor McGonigal in the corridor she was patrolling. From my spot in the crowded corridor I saw Ron and Harry laughing from above.

''Potter'' Professor McGonigal says.

I see him say something to Ron before heading over to us.

''Enjoying yourselves are we?'' she asks.

''I had a free period this morning professor'' Harry says.

''So I noticed'' she says abruptly, ''I would think you would want to fill it with potions or is it no longer your ambition to become an auror'' 

''It was but I was told I had to get an outstanding in my OWL''

''So you did when Professor Snape was teaching potions however Professor Slughorn is perfectly happy to accept NEWT students with exceeds expectations'' she replies

''Brilliant erm, well I'll head there straight away''

''Good, good'' she says, ''Potter, take Weasley with you, he looks far too happy over there'' 

I give Harry a quick smile before he goes away and he returns the smile.

We had nobody in our classroom first period so I just cleaned up the classroom a bit. The day continued as normal, class after class. I enjoyed my job a lot. After my lessons I decided to go to the Gryffindor common room to go see Ginny and Harry. 

''Hello you lot, just thought I would stop by before I went home'' I say taking a seat on the sofa next to Harry.

''So how have your first couple days been'' Harry asks.

''Great, I'm loving my job'' I say.

''You should stop by at quidditch try-outs next week'' Ginny says, ''I know you won't be playing anymore but just come and watch, bring Fred and George if you like''

''I'll ask them, I think they might be busy at the shop but I'll still ask them'' I say. ''I'll definitely be there though''

''Anyways have you heard much about Alicia's wedding, she sent me a letter and told me they were engaged over the summer'' Ginny says.

''I think they said they're wanting to have the wedding quite soon, she likes the sound of a winter wedding with snow'' I say.

''That will look amazing on the wedding photos'' Ginny says, when Alicia was at Hogwarts her and Ginny were very close, not as close as I am with her but they were still very close.

''I think she was wanting to go dress shopping soon, she'll probably invite you to come'' I say.

''Oh really, I can't wait'' She says.

''Anyway I best be heading off, I've got your brother's to look after'' I laugh.

''See you later Y/N'' Harry says.

''Bye Y/N'' Ginny laughs at the comment I just made.

-----Hi quite a short one lol, sorry but I just have some work I need to do,

I will try upload as regularly as possible even if it's just a smaller chapter like this, also I was thinking about doing another story once I had finished this one, I was thinking about making the character be related to Draco in some sort of way, the stories love interest will be either Fred or George, I'm not sure at the moment though but just let me know what you think------
