It was Harry's birthday, he didn't want anything big like a party or anything. He just wanted it to be me, Sirius, Remus and Tonks. In the living room there were a few balloons with a few presents on the floor. There was also a cake in the kitchen and we were going to have a nice dinner made by Tonks.
Over the past two weeks me and Harry have grown quite close, he's like a brother to me. I am getting better and I am interacting more with my family even though the first few days I just sat in my room and cried. Tonks was the one to help me get out of that, we had a pamper night and watched a movie while we did our nails and wore facemasks, that was something my mother would never have done with me. My Uncle Remus and Sirius went to the village near the cottage and we went for ice-cream and a walk which made me feel a whole lot better too.
I woke up this morning and put my dressing gown on over my pyjamas and slid on my slippers. I then ran to Harry's room and opened his door.
''Happy Birthday Harry!'' I shouted to wake him up.
''Thanks Y/N, what time is it?'' he asked yawning.
''Nine o'clock, not like you sleeping in mind you Harry'' I say.
''Late night last night, I was sending letters to Ginny'' he says as I lay on his bed on top of the covers.
''Oooo you've been sending letters to Ginny'' I say.
''It's not like that'' he says blushing.
''Harry you can tell me anything'' I say.
''Okay maybe she is hot but do not say anything to anyone'' he says.
''Don't worry I won't, it's cute'' I laugh. ''Anyways let's go downstairs and open your presents'' I say pulling him out of bed.
We head downstairs and the smell of pancakes hit my nose as I walk passed the kitchen.
''That smells great Tonks, is that pancakes?'' I ask stopping in my steps.
''Yeah Y/N don't they just smell amazing'' she says as she puts them on a pancake and head to the living room.
''Happy Birthday Harry'' Tonks, Uncle Remus and Sirius say in sync.
''Thank you'' Harry says as he sits down on the rug to open his presents as I took a seat on the sofa next to my uncle.
We all watched Harry open his presents in our pyjamas. He got lots of sweets from honey dukes, some photos of his parents, a new broom and Fred and George sent some of their newest products they had made for their shop. I had to warn Harry before he tried to eat one of the sweets Fred and George had sent, Godric knows what they were.
We all got ready for the day after breakfast which was amazing, I'd never ate such delicious pancakes. Fred had wrote to me a few times over the past few weeks but I still wasn't in the mood to talk to my friends, I'd only just started talking to my family, I knew I'd be talking to them before the end of the summer. I got ready in a flowery dress and some sandals since it was really warm today. Me and Tonks sunbathed on the grass behind the house while the boys played muggle sport called football. I hadn't heard of it before but apparently it's extremely popular.
Tonks was like my best friend, we hadn't known each other well at all at the start of the holidays but now I loved spending time with her, she was like a mother to me even though she was only 5 years older than me.
It got to 5 o'clock and Tonks was inside making the dinner, I insisted I helped her but she wouldn't let me, she wanted me to enjoy the sun.
''Tea's ready'' she shouted from the back door.
We all ran inside as we were so hungry. She had made Sunday dinner which was Harry's favourite meal at the moment. By the end of it we were all stuffed and decided to go watch a movie in the living room. I sat on the sofa with my legs resting on the coffee table while Uncle Remus and Tonks sat either side of me. Sirius and Harry sat on the the other sofas with their feet up. It wasn't long until I fell asleep, my head resting on my uncles shoulder.
-----Hi I know this isn't a very dramatic chapter and doesn't include much Fred but I felt like including the bonds between the people you live with. I really like the bond between Tonks and Y/N, I think she is a motherly figure for her in replacement of her real mother who never really treat her like a daughter and as for Lupin I think he's a father figure for Y/N. I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'm looking to finish the rest of the summer tonight-----
