The One: Fred Weasley X Reader

F I F T Y - S E V E N

I looked at the lifeless body across the room. He was surrounded by family. Memories of me and the boy flashed before my eyes, all the good memories we had together. Life was cruel and I can't believe we lost him. 

I walked up to the body laying on the floor. I wanted him to just open his eyes so we could laugh together one last time. I sat down next to him and took his face into my hands, I lay my head on his chest and sobbed as quietly as I could. He had so much time left with us, so much more memories to make but it was all cut short.

''I love you so much, goodbye'' I whispered into his chest.

 I felt someone bring me into a hug, by the scent I could tell it was George. I stood up and sobbed into his chest quietly. I felt him place a kiss on my forehead as one of his tears landed on my cheek.

Charlie Weasley was no longer with us.

I was now with Oliver, Alicia and Lee. We were on our brooms casting spells on death eaters. We were in a battle with three other death eaters who were on top of one of the higher parts of the castle. 

''Y/N watch out!'' Oliver shouted as he flew over to me and took me off my broom onto his.

A death eater had cast a spell on my broom setting it alight, it just fell towards the lake below us. I held onto Oliver's waist as he shot spells at them, I tried to hold on and use my wand but it was too windy. I looked to where Lee and Alicia were and Lee was holding onto Alicia as his broom had also gone down in flames. Alicia was hitting spell after spell but then suddenly her wand flown out of her hand, Lee tried to give her his but it was too late. They fell down off of their broom after it had caught flames from a spell. I held tight onto Oliver as we sped down to where they were falling. It was an old broom we had found in the room of requirement so it wasn't the best. We reached the lake but they were not in sight. We looked around hoping we would hear something but there was nothing.

''They're gone'' Oliver said putting his head into his hands.

I held on tight to him and sobbed into his back. We had lost two other people who we loved dearly.

Lee Jordan and Alicia Spinnet were also no longer with us.

''We have to go, it's too dangerous'' Oliver said as we flew back to the castle.

How was I ever going to break the news to Fred and George. Lee was one of our best friends.

We flew back to the castle court yard to see people gathering on either side. Oliver landed the broom by Fred and George.

''Y/N what happened? Where's Lee and Alicia?'' Fred asked.

''Their broom caught fire and we weren't able to reach them in time before they hit the water.'' Oliver spoke softly.

The twins came close to us and pulled us into a hug as they let out a cry.

''Thank you for keeping Y/N safe Oliver, I don't know what I would've done if I had lost her tonight'' Fred thanked him.

''Are my mum and dad okay?'' I asked.

''Oh we're so glad you're okay, we were worried'' my dad said interrupting the conversation.

''Mum! Dad!'' I cried hugging them tightly.
