Chapter 13

**Noahs POV**

I wake up with gene curled up to me like a cat, i slowly remove his arms from my waist as to not wake him.
I made my way to the bathroom and turn on the shower afterward I make my way downstairs to make a coffee and grab a painkiller for me and the sleeping boy upstairs. I take the medicine upstairs with a tall glass of water, I slowly shake the unconscious gene awake
"ngh- what do you want"
"come on gene get up"
"me fucking head is throbbing leave me alone"
"yeah that's why I brought you this" I say while presenting the medicine and water
He sits up and gratefully swallows the pill and slowly drinks the water
"My face is in agony man what happened"
"to cut a long story short you got pissed and your exes girls had a go at you"
"oh yea" he laughs his raspy laugh
My heart.. swells at that?? no no no that can't be right I'm not going soft and I am more than certainly not going soft for my best mate
I promptly stand up and go to the toilet, I rinse my face and neck with cold water to get the thoughts out my head. I'm not gay am I? no I can't be I've fancied plenty of women but try as I might my thoughts just seemed to drag back to gene.
"Fuck this is so wrong" I think "he's my best mate he'll kill me if I said anything" I hear a knock at the door
"Alright If I shower?" Gene asks with a groggy morning voice
"uh well sure" "you know where towels are shout if u need anything" I leave him to his own devices
I just stuck on a record and daydreamed till I'm pulled out my trance by gene walking in half naked and dripping wet
"oh fucking hell man you're going to get my floor wet" I say letting my eyes slight rake over him
"oh sorry love I'll shower dry next time" he says like a sarcastic bitch
"cunt" I said while looking back out my window
I really cannot be gay especially not for gene. mum and dad would absolutely murder me if they found out their son was a "poof" to quote my dad. I've never got why like it's just two people in love why does it bother him so much?

"Noah for Christ sake are you deaf?!" Gene shouts in my ear
"Uh em well no" I splutter
He laughs and says "well man thank you for taking care of me n letting me stay, you're a real gem you know, but I have to go home now so see you later" he smiles
"Yeah it's no bother, see you soon" I smile back
I hear the front door click shut and I fall back on my bed rubbing my temples
god why'd it have to be him
My brain wracks itself as I slowly fall asleep while abbey road songs ring and echo throughout my ears.
