What was Minamoto Teru so afraid of? If Yumeko had to answer this question, it would be: anything with his siblings. But she wouldn't know that he had become somewhat attached to the vampire as well. She might not be human, but she was still more human than every apparition he had met...

He was afraid to feel for the vampiric girl, unsure of what the future would hold for them. Him, not only as a human but as an exorcist as well as her with her long lifetime. The feeling of wanting to stay by someone's side, of wanting to be with them... Teru would not admit that is what he felt. The ruby eyed girl was someone he could trust, someone he often relied on to care for his siblings in times when he was not there.

To Minamoto Teru, the possibility of the vampire to leave were minimal and yet, the men that had bumped into her bore resemblance to the teen looking vampire. It made him doubt her answer and fear that they would be separate quicker than expected.

As the darkened sky began to light up with different colored lights, his gaze was not turned up but rather at her. At her saddened gaze looking curiously up at the sky. He had forgotten, despite her age, she really was still a growing girl who had little experience with the outside world, who he and his family had cut off from... instead of looking at her like a villain, wasn't he the villainous one?

[Ch 10. star festival]

He didn't know what had happened after he blacked out. He could feel his body be jostled to the infirmary bed and Yumeko's voice faintly calling to him. A soft touch to his lips and then, a liquid being forced into his mouth. He could only focus on the darkness before him, ignoring the metallic taste of what he had just been forced to consume.

His body felt strangely warm, despite having lost a large amount of blood.

As he blinked, there was a light that appeared in front of him. "Are you the one?" There was a voice that called out to him, somewhere within the darkness he couldn't pinpoint.

Well this was a first. He was aware dream demons and apparitions existed but he had never encountered one; no one would be foolish enough to attempt to come near an exorcist such as himself. Unless they thought themselves to be powerful enough. Well, not like they would succeed; however, in the dream world it might work differently. There wasn't enough information about dream apparitions but he would manage. He always did.

Teru glanced at his surroundings, taking in the empty abyss and wondered if his dreams were this empty or if there was something else that simply made the world look like there was nothing.
