"Why is it always me?" A pained voice called out, thinking about all the times he had to suffer at the hands of a certain blonde student council president. Why could he never one up- ahem, it didn't seem fair the vice president had to suffer so much. He was a diligent student (who had a rather obsessive crush on his childhood friend, but details) and he always did his best to help with student council problems.

"Akane, you brought this upon yourself." The older teen, acting as secretary for the student council, flipped through the pages of a book. Pausing slowly at certain passages before flipping through again. As she yawned, a hand automatically went to cover her mouth.

The boy laughed maniacally, muttering under his breath about how the school president had it coming for him once he got out of his binds. He had on his glasses, the ones that enabled him to have a normal look to the world, that is, to be unable to see the supernatural. Yumeko envied that, because being unable to see sometimes was the best thing that could happen.

The girl watched as the Mokke danced around Akane's entrapment, looking like they were waiting for a chance to pounce at the boy. However, the prayer beads impeded their attack, they knew how much power they had.

"Don't let Teru hear you, or he'll punish you more."
Her legs crossed over each other, trying to find a comfortable position to sit before uncrossing and crossing again at the ankles, knees close together. She wanted to laugh at his current position but it wasn't anything fun; Teru wasn't so cruel as to be that horrid towards the vampire.

She had experienced the beads first hand before, the restricted feeling was unpleasant to say the least.
In the end, she giggled. She sympathized with the clock keeper but she also found the situation funnier. She was thankful Teru wasn't present at that moment, who knows what his reaction would have been to Yumeko laughing at Akane's pain when she had experienced the same tragic event.

She turned her attention back to the book, it was fascinating to know how a human was capable of creating such stories, it made the vampire wonder if the authors were secretly humans with a strong 6th sense. Though she didn't want to particularly indulge in the vampire novels, she wanted to know more about the human misconception of her own kind. Except, maybe the whole sparkling in the sun was a tad bit too much exaggerated.

The door quietly opened, causing Yumeko to look up thinking it might be Teru returning from his errand over to the teacher's staff room. She hadn't been focused otherwise she would have felt his presence making his way over. Instead of the second year president, it was that first year Yashiro. Suddenly it made her feel bad for Akane who was still in a prostrating position on the floor directly in front of the door.

The vampire's presence was just about looked over as the younger students held a small conversation together without word to her. It wasn't vexing, just strange. Teru's presence appeared just as Yashiro questioned about his... unique position. Being released from his beaded prison, the student clock keeper took no notice of the mokke who were suddenly inspecting him and climbing over his body.

"Um, is he—"

"He's fine. With his glasses he's as normal as a human can be. Isn't that right, Teru?"

Having cut into the conversation, the first year girl took notice of the elder girl, who was sitting on a chair next to the table. She didn't pay any mind to Yashiro, her focus solely on the boy on the ground whose glasses were quickly stolen by a certain student council president. Akane squinted, adjusting his eyes to the sudden change before realizing the situation. The mokke took advantage of this and took the opportunity to attack. "Sometimes, not being able to see, not being able to touch what is there, not being able to get involved...  is the best defense you can have."
