The sound of metal resounded throughout an empty park. It would have been unusual during the day but during the darkest hour of night, everything seemed fair game.
A certain blonde haired exorcist and his companion ran around an unidentifiable apparition, the smaller of the two seemingly uninterested. She stopped to rest on one of the unoccupied swings. Well, not a rest but more of a, 'we're getting nowhere and you don't need my help' type of waiting.
Her silver hair was gently caressed by the wind. Pulling out her phone, she checked if her idols had posted anything onto their sns. She left a few comments, not noticing the glare Teru was sending her way. "Oi, get off your phone. This isn't a leisure time for you to be so relaxed."
Yumeko frowned. She was just trying to catch up on information, it wasn't like she was needed at the moment. She would be, 'a hindrance' as Teru would often say. The vampire knew this wasn't the case, she was far stronger than the boy would ever admit.
She and Teru were patrolling one last time before heading back but they had been setback by a strange apparition. It was playing with them, with Teru mostly, she couldn't understand why. Which is how they ended up at a nearby empty park. Not even drunk businessmen were napping on the benches. It seemed too perfect for this situation to have appeared when the young exorcist and vampire did.
"Yumeko defeat the one behind this." Yumeko stood from her crouching position, leaving one final comment on her sns. "I better get a reward later!" was her reply to his command. Her wings expanded behind her, she stretched her arms and neck lightly; it's important to stretch before doing strenuous activities kids.
She flew high up, feeling the wind blow through her hair and wings. She should have brought her cardigan, it was starting to feel cold. From a higher angle, she observed the surroundings and searched for the other apparition in charge of the thing attacking Teru. She yawned, wanting to go home and nap. From the corner of her eye, in the direction of the children's climbing bars was a dark shadow. 'That must be it.'
It raised it's arms bringing forth more shadows, probably more minions, to attack Teru who already had his hands full. Diving down, Yumeko kicked the new apparitions before going towards the original. A kick and a swipe from her hand and the apparition was on the ground. It attempted to intimidate Yumeko using it's aura but it was far weaker than any other thing she had encountered. She pouted, she was always left with the weaker ones, was he doubting her power that much? She placed a seal that Teru had given her beforehand and watched as it dissipated into the air, no longer in the human world. At least for now.
"Teru~ Are you done too?" Her teasing voice called out to the blonde. Hearing no response she turned to his direction, finding a different apparition and Teru kneeling, holding his sword in defense. Wow, a ghost that managed to get him on his knees, what a sight.
"Do you need some assistance?" The vampire cooed at the exorcist. He grit his teeth and deflected the apparition, gaining some distance. His heart raced at the quick movement, panting trying to regain his breath. He didn't necessarily want help but he needed it, like it or not. In a calm voice, he managed to give a command. "Yumeko, distract this thing while I get the seal prepared."
