Yumeko, age ???. Teru, age 10.

How many years had it been? She wasn't even sure where these humans gathered blood from but it was utterly disgusting. Every few weeks, they would bring in a small bowl, half filled with blood. Despite the little feeding she did, her other senses were still working. The mixed scents of everything and everyone would have made her gag at the sight but she wanted to continue to survive, to live and see her family again.

Someday...

It was why, however disgusting and small amount the substance they brought to her was, she would diligently drink enough to keep her going. She drank so little, even the humans who took charge of her began to complain. They did all the hard work for her not to appreciate their efforts.

Shortly after, they would hardly bring in anything at all.

She ended up being transferred into a different room, inside what had looked like a house. After uncuffing her shackles, the vampire rubbed the bruised skin. These humans had hardly cared that she was still a "child" albeit mainly in appearance; her knowledge and age far succeeded that of a grown adult. She had been left to her own devices but had been warned the windows and door had been sealed, there was no escape for her.

Yumeko, or little vampire as the other exorcists had come to call her, stared blankly at the blonde in front of her. He seemed like nothing special. He radiated power, though weak in comparison to herself; his eyes glared icily at her form. The vampire looked to be a ten year child but with how long she had been kept there, Teru had deduced her age to be far older than perhaps even his grandparents.

He knew the adults who fed her had stopped at the command of one of the elders, they wanted to see her reaction or something of that manner. Teru wasn't quite sure what it had been. He had long since stopped paying attention to trivial matters. He was going on subjugations and eliminating those apparitions, what more did he need to pay attention. He was intelligent for his age, he had little need to put his hands where he knew they didn't belong.

Instead, he wanted to know what it felt like to curse a being who was alive yet not human. It was one of the few things he had begun to learn recently. Curses and their uses.

"Hey. Do you want to go outside?" He gave her a smile, closing his eyes in attempts to hide his insincere nature. He wanted to bait her into going out with him, allow him to subject her to a few experiments and well, to put it shortly, entertain him with the result. She looked weak enough for even Kou to be able to handle her.

He had read the files and other findings that had been done. Where she was weak to sunlight was the most truthful reason everyone could agree on to take her outside. Keep her out while the sun is high in the sky and she wouldn't attack strongly. A weak creature with no one to turn to.

She would retaliate but nothing too overpowered that could possibly kill them. No, she would be but a mere weak, little child. Weaker than himself and Kou.

However, what the eldest Minamoto son had not accounted for was the vampire's strange compliance. Her answers were mainly 'yes', 'no', and even the surprising, 'who knows.' Her less than satisfactory replies infuriated him to no end, giving the vampire something amusing to stare at.
