Gary was at the Brentford game as he was on the bench, which was a proud moment for him as he could possibly make his Forest debut. Both teams walked out the tunnel as Gary joined the rest of his teamates on the bench.
The game kicked off but there was no real action in the first half as it was 0-0 at halftime. Gary thought there may be a slight chance that he would com on but that was not going to happen. However, Gary did get to watch his team score a goal through Joe Lolley. But after that, the game just went on to finish 1-0 to Forest.
Gary was not too worried by the fact that he didn't considering the fact that he is only 24 years old. So he still has years to go in his career. After the match, the boss gave a strong team talk saying how happy he was with his players today and now they move 5th in the table.
Their next game is against Wycombe in the cup so Gary may get the nod upfront. He came to the ground on Tuesday and the boss said to him that he would be starting. He played the Wycome game and they won 2-1 but Gary didn't score a goal.
The next few games, Gary spent on the bench watching his team on. After 5 games, Forest were 8th in the table on 10 points after 1 win and 2 draws. Their next game is against Wimbledon in the 2nd round of the EFL Cup. Gary would get the nod upfront.
Forest went 1-0 up at halftime and Gary got the assist for the goal which was scored by Lewis Grabban. Gary was taken off though as they went on to win the game 2-0. After that game, Gary was just sitting on the bench and couldn't find a spot on the team.
15 Games had past before his next start against Luton Town. Gary was happy was really happy as he was going to start his first game for Forest in the leauge. There was no action in the first half however as it was 0-0 at halftime. Gary was palying well however passing the ball around. 60 minutes in, Gary was taken off but his replacement made no impact as the game finished 0-0. This result put Forest 7th in the table on 29 points.
After that however, Gary didn't play for the rest of the season apart frpm coming on for a few sub apperances. His stats for the season were 8 games, 0 goals and 1 assist. Gary was happy with how his first season went considering he was 3rd choice striker at the start of the season.
He went home to spend time with his family and get ready for next season.
