Gary wants to play in the higher divisions so the 5th division is a good step up for him. He wasn't expecting to play apart from maybe cup games. He turned up for the first game of Pre Season. It was against Crystal Palace Under 23s.
Gary was on the bench for this game as the boss said that he would come on in the second half. Bromley had a good start but Palace broke on the counter and went 1v0 up at half time. Gary came on for the second half for his bromley debut. He had a good start to the game but didn't really do anything in the first 30 mins. Palace scored through James Daly in the 85th minute to make it 1v1. There was nothing after that goal as the game finished 1v1.
After the game the manager said well done that was a really good performance out there. Gary got told that he had a good game and just needed to work kn his foot work. Gary took the message on board and started practicing at home in the garden. Gary knew he wasn't expecting to do very well in hif first season at bromley but he will try and hit the boss's targets dir the upcoming season. The next friendly is against Fleetwood in league 1 on 6th July.
