Chapter 2: Next Big Step

Gary came back better than ever ready for year 7. But now was a brand new challenge, high school football. He goes to oasis, which was one of best schools in croydon. First game was against riddlesdown and Gary had to start on the bench. They went 1v0 down so the boss brought Gary on and he scored in the 25th minute. Half time came up and the score was 1v1 so the boss says that they will go and push for victory. Second half started and his team scored from a player called Tom who played left wing. So now they were 2v1 up. The rest of the game was very boring so it finished 2v1 to oaias. The boss said that it was a very good win for the team as it was their first game in high school. Gary went home that night and started on his homework. Which was to write a caption on the game. He came back ready for the next game,which was against Meadow Bank. Gary got to start this time but he got sent off in the 27th minute for a bad foul that injured the other player. He got home and got in big trouble. " You are not going to play in the next match as you injured a player!" Shouted his mum. Gary nether wanted to go to school in year 7. He could train for the next match but could not play. There are ten matches in the season. Match 4 came against John Fisher. He was on the bench again but he came on and got a injury. His best friend was Tom. He was out for 5 games. So he came back for the 10th game, which was against Meadow Bank. The final game of the season. Gary started and scored a goal in the 28th minute as they went 1v0 up. Half time came up and the boss said that they need to score again to save the win. In the 45th minute Gary crossed the ball into Tom for the 2nd goal so they were 2v0 up. The rest of the game was very boring so full time came up as 2v0 to oaias. He came home with his man of the match trophy for the game. Will he do this again for year 8.
