Chapter 3: New Year

He had to get ready big time for year 8. It was the same team that played last year, Gary best friend was still Tom the left winger. He came back for their first game of the season. Which was against Medow Bank year 8 but they have some new players. Gary was picked to start the game upfront (st). Tom had to start on the bench though so they can't work together. But Gary went and scored a goal in the 9th minute as they went in to half time 1v0 up. The manager brought Tom on at half time and it worked as Tom scored via a cross by Gary. So now they were 2v0 up and Medow Bank had nothing to fight back with. Full time came and it was 2v0 to oaias. Gary got the man of the match award. Gary got a call from the team boss to say he will not play in the next match. The next day they had a brand new boy in the class and he was rude. He was the reason that Gary wasn't picked for next match. There next game was against riddlesdown and oaias beat them 2v1 last after coming back from 1v0 down. 3 minutes in Gary got sent off and this time it was a 6 match ban. Now he won't be back till the 10th game of the season against Medow Bank. He was crying as he would get in big trouble. When he came back for the final day of the season he a big welcome from the fans. Gary started with Tom as they played 4-4-2. Tom crossed the ball into Gary for the first goal In the 3rd minute. At half it was 1v0 to oaias. Medow Bank scored though in the 40th minute of the game. In the 59th minute Tom scored to make it 2v1 to oaias. That was the end of the game and all of the oaias fans ran on to the pitch as they had won the league. He got home that night and thought on how the season went but then also thought about next season. Will year 9 be a better year for him in terms or red cards.
