Gary wasn't picked every game as he was signed as a backup but in the tenth game, he started. The manager Spencer said I have faith in you to play well for this game. Gary proved him right by scoring in the 30th minute to put hashtag 1v0 up. At halftime spencer took gary of and said I will start you in the next game in the cup. The game finished 1v0 so a clean sheet for hashtag as they keep their run going at the top of the table with 0 defeats this season.
Gary thought about the cup game and he was thinking how can I impress the manager. He was upfront in a 4-2-3-1 formation. Gary set up the first goal as hashtag went 1v0 up and gary scored to put hashtag 2v0 up. They went into halftime leading 2v0 up. Gary played in the second half this time and scored in the 86th minute to give hashtag a 3v0 lead and to put them in the next round of the cup. Spencer said that it was a really good win and that gary wins man of the match for being involved in all 3 goals.
Gary started in the 11th match as he has 3 goals in his last 2 games in all competitions. Gary wasn't very good in this game so spencer took gary off this game and he said don't worry you have proved what you can do with 3 goals in 2 games. Hashtag went on to draw the game 0v0.
Gary was benched again for a run of games again until the last game of the season. Gary started the game as their main striker was injured and Tom was on the bench for hashtag United. Gary scored in the 34th minute and put hashtag 1v0 up at halftime. Tom was brought on to play upfront with Gary and tom scored in the 75th minute with 15 minutes left to play. This game was a game that hashtag had to win to ensure that the title was their's. The game finished 2v0 and hashtag United are now the sunday league champions.
Spencer told Gary that he has proved himself enough to be in the first team squad next season. He has to compete with Neil Richmond and George Smith for a place upfront.
