Chapter 4: A New Challenge

Gary was all fired up for year 9 at oaias and a brand new season. He did not want to go through all this again.
Last year was a year of hell as he got sent off and he had to miss 4 games in a row. They had a new boy who tried to make friends with Gary but fialled. When Gary came back after his 4 games he found out his team weren't doing very well. They were last in the table. Gary has scored 30 goals for the school since year 7 so he should score more as he will be back for the next game. Gary had just found out he will not be captain for the rest of the season. "Who will be captain then boss?" He was shocked as the boss picked Tom to be skipper. The reason why is because Gary had missed the first 4 games so they need a captain who will play every game. Gary felt like not being friends after Tom got picked to be captain for the rest of the season. Gary was so upset. "It should of been me all season not him!!" But Tom knew why he got picked to be skipper. As Gary had been sent off to many times. He as been sent of 4 times in 24 games. But he could focus on football, he had a exam coming up witch was very important to him. Next morning he woke up thinking about how he had his first game as not being captain. They were playing Meadow Bank. Gary did start up front as he has scored 10 goals in 24 games for oasis. Inside 22 minutes oasis scored but it was gary once again. Tom passes into the box for gary to get the robona finish. Going into half time his team were 1v0 up but gary got substituted off. He was not happy. As the second half started they went 2v0 up through a volley by Tom. The rest of the game was boring so it finished 2v0 to Oasis. That was the final game of the season so he went and took a break and is ready to go for year 10
