Part 34

POV FINN

I went home this morning, because Nick came home from school. He said he had to tell us something. Nick is also the only person who comes late to the apointment he made. I played guitar for a while and i atempted to read call me by your name, which Millie lent me, but it is even more complicated than i thoughed. 'Hey!' I hear from downstairs so i stand up. I walk down and see indeed Nick. 'You are very late.' I mumble and mom snaps her fingers. 'Be nice.' She says and i fake a smile. I just want to go back to Millie's so that she does not change her mind about dating me again. 'Yeah Finn, be nice.' Nick says and i roll my eyes. 'What did you need to tell us?' Mom asks Nick and he smiles. 'Are you ready?' He asks and mom and i both nod. 'I am going to study in Africa.' He says and i can hear moms jaw drop. 'What?' I ask him and Nick nods. 'Josh is going too. We talked with the school, and they said we could, as long as we hand in our assigments on time. This is a one in a life chance!' Nick says entouistastic. I glance at mom and she shakes her head. 'No. It is to dangerous.' She says and Nick opens his mouth to argue. 'No it is not. Mom, come on. You know i always wanted to get a job in a hospital there! You knew this was coming!' He says and mom shakes her head. 'Yeah, over 2 years.' She snaps and i feel the argument coming up. 'I'll be staying in a great hotel! I'll be fine! Please mom?' He asks and she shakes her head again. 'Will someone else be going with you? Besides from Josh?' I ask and Nick seems greatfull from the distraction. 'Yes, a guy named Zin, who has been working there for the past 6 years. He will be teaching us and showing us everything.' Nick says and he smiles. 'You guys can even come for a vacation.' He smiles and i raise my eyebrows. 'You can bring Millie.' He adds and i smile. 'Mom please?' Nick asks mom again and she seems to consider. 'How long?' She asks and Nick looks at the floor. 'At least 6 months, but with breaks so i will be coming home once in a while.' Nick says and mom looks away. 'No.' She says and Nick sighs. 'Mom, he will be with a guy who has been doing this for 6 years, he'll be staying in a hotel, he'll actually see if this is his dreamjob and he can still do his schoolwork.' I sum up and hope that she let's him go. After everything that happend, he disurves a break. 'I need all the numbers from the guy and hotel and you'll rent a car and you have to facetime me every night.' Mom says and Nick nods. 'So yes?' He asks and she nods. 'And a vacation will be nice.' She says and Nick smiles. 'Can't we go with you the first week or so? Then mom knows your safe.' I offer and Nick nods. 'I can ask, can you do that with work?' He asks mom and she nods too. 'And about the Millie thing?' I ask and Nick laughs. 'Yeah she can come as long as mom let's her.' Nick says and walks out of the room with his phone. 'Are you guys back together?' Mom asks when Nick starts to talk with the guy on the phone. 'Yes.' I mumble and she smiles. 'You're lucky she forgave you.' Mom says and i nod. 'I am not going to make a mistake like that again.' I promise mom and myself. 'Well then you can ask her.' Mom says and i smile.

POV MILLIE

I lay on my bed type something on the computer. 'How's it going?' I hear behind me and i smile by the sound of Finn his voice. I turn around and push myself up on one hand. 'It's going.' I smile and so does Finn. He walks further into my room and he cups my cheeks with his hands. He presses his lips against mine and my stomach flutters. 'Maybe i can make it go better.' He says when he let's go too fast. 'Do tell.' I mumble and Finn sits down next to me. 'Would you like to go on vacation with Nick, my mom and me?' He asks and i scan his face to see signs of a joke. 'You're kidding?' I ask and he shakes his head. 'Nick is going to study there for a while and mom wants to make sure that he is save there, so we are going with for like a week, mom said you could come too.' Finn mumbles and i raise my eyebrows. 'Where?' I ask and Finn smiles. 'Africa.' He says and i feel my jaw drop. 'He is going to study in africa?' I ask and Finn nods. 'It's been his life long dream to work in a hospital there.' Finn says and i nod amazed. 'So you'll go with us?' He asks and i think for a second. 'Please? I don't want to go alone.' Finn says and he wraps his arms around my waist. I lay my hands in his neck and i sigh. 'And i don't want to miss you for a week.' Finn says and i smile. 'I'll have to ask my mom.' I mumble and Finn smiles. 'I'll take that as a yes.' He mumbles and i smile. 'I do have to mention that you will have to get a shot for some diseases.' He mumbles and i smile. 'Okay.' I mumble and Finn smiles. 'I will need your permant awnser tonight, because Nick has to book rooms.' Finn says and i nod. 'Mom will be home soon.' I mumble and Finn smiles. 'She better let you come with.' Finn says and i smile. I move my face up and Finn presses his lips against mine again.

'Africa?' Mom asks and i nod. 'Vacation with Finn? To Africa?' Mom asks to make sure that is what i ment. 'Not just with Finn. With his mom and Nick too.' I tell mom and she frowns. 'When will you leave?' Mom asks and i smile a little because i know that she is close to letting me go. 'Next week, so i will still be home for new year.' I tell her and she sighs. 'Fine. But you will call me every night and i want Mary's number.' She sighs and i smile. 'Thank you!' I smile and she does too. 'You are growing up to fast.' Mom mumbles and she hands me a cup filled with coffee. 'Not fast enough.' I mumble and Mom raises an eyebrow. 'Yeah you do, before you know your going to be studying.' Mom says and she opens her laptop again. 'So, how is David?' I ask after a while and mom looks up with a smile. 'He is fine.' She says and i can't help but smile because mom seems her so happy. 'Mom?' I ask and she looks up again. 'Yeah?' She asks and she types something on the laptop again. 'Are you happy?' I ask and she smiles. 'Yes.' She says and i nod. 'Good.' I tell her and grab my phone. I text Finn that i can come with and then scroll threw instagram. Sadie sended me a post by some account. I press on the notification and smile. It's a picture that says, this person is very sorry and apoligizes again. I type back that is doesn't matter and that i am not mad. She reads the message and start to type. 

SADIE: But Finn is 
MILLIE: well....
SADIE: I am really sorry. 
MILLIE: Yeah i know. 
SADIE: He said that i forced you to go to your dads, what i did,
               but he said that was a bad thing.
SADIE: What happend?

I promised Finn i would tell her, but she will feel so bad, which she all ready does. 

MILLIE: Not that much, just a smallbreak down after. 
SADIE: Why?
MILLIE: Because i don't have a great dad like you.
SADIE: You're not telling me something. 
SADIE: You can tell me anything and everything. 

I sigh and lay down my phone. What do i say? That i went to court because my dad tried to steal my house because i overreacted? No. You don't say such a thing. 

MILLIE: I heard my dad and Adelaine talking and i overreacted and he did too and we had to 
                go to court. 
SADIE: You had to go to court? Why? What did they say?
MILLIE: Something about money, he tried to steal my house.
SADIE: I am so sorry. 
MILLIE: Don't feel quilty. 
SADIE: How can you said that? I forced you to go there. 
MILLIE: I am still my own person with my own will. I am not a baby. 
SADIE: But that wouldn't have happend if i didn't force you. I'm a bad friend. 
               First i ruin your relationship, twice. Then i force you to go to your dad
               Who almost stole your house. 
               And then i ruined a party. 
MILLIE: You did not ruin my relationschip, Finn and Amber  did that, but i am over that.
                I am happy that i heard what my dad really thinks,
                now i don't have to go there anymore. 
                And you did ruin the party, but what is a high school party without some drama?
SADIE: You're a good friend. 
MILLIE: Don't feel bad, i'm fine. 
SADIE: tell me these things next time?
MILLIE: Will do. 

It wasn't that bad. As long as she wont petty me, i am completly fine. 'Is finn coming over tonight?' Mom gets me out of my bubble and i shake my head. 'No. Nick is home, so he is staying with his family.' I mumble and mom nods. 'Why?' I ask and her head turns a little red. 'I was just wondering if i could go to David, but i am not leaving you alone.' She says and i move my head to the side. 'Mom, i am not 5. I can stay home alone a night.' I tell her and she shakes her head. 'Yes. Because i am going to bed early, watch a movie or box a little and i am going to bake for new years day tomorrow morning. If you'll be home before we walk go to grandma and grandpa, i'll be fine.' I tell her and she seems to consider. 'I can do laundry too.' I try to convince her and she smiles. 'Are you sure?' She asks again and i nod. 'But if something is wrong,you have to call me.' She demands and i nod again. After a while mom did leave. I did laundry and i watch part of a movie. I box for a while and then take a shower. At 9 the doorbell rings. I frown and stand up. 'Hey, what are you doing here?' I ask at the sight of a tired Finn. 'Moms and brothers are exausting.' He says and i laugh. I let Finn in and he rubs over his forehead. 'What are you doing here?' I ask again and Finn sigs. 'I had an argument with mom and then had to play jugde while mom and Nick argued about Africa. Now i am so done that i had  to leave.' He says and i smile. 'Where is your mom?' He asks when he looks around. 'Davids.' I tell him and he nods. We continue a movie but it only takes a few minutes before Finn his breathes become regular. I turn around and see that he indeed fell asleep. At least i am not alone tonight.
