Brandon Mchaba:

After the first two months of Mandisa's accident I accepted that she was gone , now it was the third month and I found myself ready to move on and focus on my family,

all the pictures that she had on my side of the bed removed , her pictures and clothes all packed up into a box that i put in the garage. Qu continued to make me smile and this was the type of love I missed,

But I didn't wanna tell her that I was being investigated , they suspect that I had something to do with Mandisa's death because 'she was a threat to my fiancee and my unborn child'

I didn't want Qu to have stress so I lived life with a smile I faked all thanks to living with Mandisa for long , so Qu thought i was stress free when deep down inside the case was affecting me.

I stood up from the chair I was sitting on and walked towards the door to go to the kitchen , when I got there food was already cooked and I wondered when did Qu cook it.

I dished up for myself and ate , after eating I prepared myself for the morning shift ,so I laid out Qu's pyjamas and I wrote her note.

'see you when I get back babe , thanks for the food you made, I'll be giving you dessert.'

With the note already set I took my bag ,and left out the door. I got into the car but as soon as the engine was on the alarm system was sounding , I wondered if I locked the door or if I didn't lock it.

I got out the car and walked towards the door ,I was about to open it up when I got a call on my phone.

"Hello?"

Mr Mchaba , there's a meeting in Room G... Mr Kgala won't appreciate you being late so you better hurry up.

"Thanks Carina I'll be there."

I dropped the call and rushed to the car , I was never informed of a meeting ...nothing at all.

"Mr Mchaba we are saddened to inform you that you are being suspended from this case,"

"Excuse me sir?" I asked not liking this sudden urge to suspend me from work "Your the best of this branch but... I'm afraid the fact that you failed to inform us that you're under suspicion of murder makes us skepticall to keep you around."

"Mr Kgala that's absurd reasoning , I need not to inform you -"

"- Mr Mchaba this is bad imaging for my company and that Kgala Inc is in any way as associated with you , look if you are found not guilty for the murder of your ex than you can come back to work , but for now your suspended till further notice."

I sighed placing my hands on my head wondering what I would tell Qu , first I didn't her about the investigation, now I'm suspended from work all because of that investigation, how does Mandisa still manage to ruin my life beyond her ashes.

"Question Mr Kgala is this suspension with pay?"

"Of course Me Mchaba , until the allegations against you have proved somehow than you are on pay..."

"Thank you Mr Kgala,"

I stood up from the seat I had occupied and as i was about to leave the room I took one last glance to the room where i first entered to get my job, I had felt so bless being offered this job. Now I don't even know how I feel.

Taking a detour I went to the local tarvern around the area where I grew up in , I held my suit jacket in hand and thought back to the day when I was so happy, no drama. Off course till I decided to persuade Mandisa, I was attracted by the way she carried herself.

To the way she walked...the confidence within her was sexy, I had come to visit a friend of mine that worked as an intern by the school when I used to see Mandisa , I took the chance to speak to her. She didn't even seem fazed by my flirting but once I saw her again she said I'd charmed her and she liked that.

I was quite charmed by that, I didn't know having an affection towards that beautiful maiden would be deadly , they all come with weapons but hers was the sharpest.

The toughest and the final Jab to my heart. She was always strategically testing my stamina to see if I was eligible for her and I failed but she kept me around.

She'd always dreamt of going to the Maldives to celebrate our 'marriage'

After ordering my second drink I took the hugest gulp of the drink and paid my bill, before going out I thought i saw Ndisa but...maybe it was a fragment of my imagination.
