Kgothatso 'Kaygee' Mchaba:

"Woah woah woah! Fuck you mean 'both of you'?"

"Kgothatso, you both exactly. Ya'll knew she was alive from the get go! How could you -"

"How dare you come and accuse me and your brother Brandon!" Laur angrily spat, seeming like she was up for a fight right then and there. "How dare you come and accuse me and Kgothatso of knowing that Mandisa was alive when we all equally mourned for her huh, what would you gain coming to your brothers house and pointing your stubby fingers at us!"

"Oh, you claim you don't know hey! But Mandisa was spotted walking into my home right after i was admitted to the hospital and you were the only one left there!"

"Fuck off!" she yelled back, grabbing her phone off of the couch, she walked past me and Brandon while all i could do was brew in my own thoughts, Shaquille stood in front of the door blocking her way out. "Where do you think you're going Lorraine?"

I was so lost in my own world that i didn't realise i looked at Laur for the longest pf time until she turned around and caught me staring at her absent-mindely.

"Kgothatso don't tell me you believe what their saying!?" she now walked towards me. "Aren't you the same one that took me to you're brothers house unprovoked!" i was taken aback by the fact that now she was pointing out that i took her there unbothered, was i really to blame?

"Kgothatso, you just going to keep quiet?" Brandon asked looking down at me, it made me frustrated that his tall frame blocked my short frame. "Yeah i took her to you're house, but I'm not gonna stand by and watch you disrespect her." i responded as calmly as i could.

"Kgothatso the cops literally told me that they saw Mandisa walk into my house hours before my whole peanut allergy trigger and walk out, she came back an hour after we left and was there for a whole hour which your little girlfriend was by my house!" Brandon directed his attention to Laur.

"What if i was asleep!?" she begun crying. "Do you think if i knew Mandisa was alive i wouldn't tell you, huh i endured depression cause of her death why would i endanger you're life like that," she cried storming past me and running into my room. It pained me watching her cry, but i was held back by all this new information...i mean if the police officer himself said this how could it be fake?

I couldn't shake the feeling that everything was slowly beginning to make sense, the change in her behaviour and her sense of urgency to be with me at every chance but still it doesn't make sense, for someone that fell into depression especially. Something in me was nagging... to believe Brandon or to believe Laur?

I shook myself out of my thoughts and looked at Qu and Brandon standing in my living room...their expressions unreadable. "Aighty, thass it! Get outta my apartment now!"

Brandon looked up from his gaze on his shoes and looked at me, we still stood foot to foot , he's eyes glistened with what I think were tears. I hated the fact that lately I've been outta touch with my brother, I have always looked up to him but lately I can't look at him the same, the last time I had a civil conversation with my brother was the day I tried offering him a gift as a bandage to our breaking bond. What was wrong with me? Why am I choosing family...my own blood over a 'dead' woman.

"Kgothatso...I see you've chosen the bridge you're staying on huh? Even through all I've done to show you i'm the victim here you choose to turn your back on me? Kgothatso I know you probably thinking 'Why would he waste his time?' that's the thing i'm not trying to waste your time."
