"Hey Laur," i heard Kaygee say right next to me, he might've been calling me for a while now but because of my guilt eating away my stomach i was lost in a pool of thoughts.

"Wassup,"

"My brother just texted me asking if you're with me right now, i wonder why?"

The feeling of my heart dropping to my stomach was crucial, i felt the pick of speed on my heart rate... no i shouldn't panic, i thought to myself. Mandisa said to call when something big has happened nothings happened yet, ye?

"Uhm, i wonder too... erm did he say why he needs  to know if I'm here?"

"Nah, actually he just texted that his coming over." I didn't know why i thought that would calm me down but it raised my nerves even higher than it was. I regret the day that i stayed at Brandon's house, maybe i was good enough not knowing what Mandisa had planned, maybe i was better of thinking that she was dead for real, they do say what you don't know won't hurt you right?

"Laur did you hear me?" kaygee asked putting his arm on my lap, i sat up and looked at him, 'Tell him' my subconscious cried out. I wanted to scream out to the top of my lungs, i wanted to get on my knees and cry and oh my word just get this guilt... this heavy load off my shoulders. But he smiled at me and for a second i thought everything would be okay, i would be okay.

"I'm sorry... i was just urm, lost in my own world."

"Don't worry, i doubt what Brandon is gonna say is actually going to be a big thing."

"Yeah maybe you're right, i mean it's not like i have something to hide." Why the heck did you say that! I internally scolded myself, what if he begun to suspect that i did have something to hide.

"Hmm, yeah. You've been acting weird lately... something you wanna talk about perhaps? I'm all ears."

"Uh -" I was about to tell him i was just stressed that because Mandisa's birthday was coming up and i was missing her when his doorbell rang.

"Excuse me, it might be my brother." That's the thing Kgothatso if it was you're brother then my goose was surely cooked.

I turnt to the TV to distract myself when i heard Brandon's deep voice boom from the doorstep "Where is she?"

"Yo' bro you going to have to chill, what do you want from her?" Kgothatso argued from the doorstep, "Boys i think we should take this inside." I heard little miss man stealer say from behind Brandon.

I was avoiding butting my head into the argument because what if Brandon knew that i knew that Mandi was still alive, i couldn't afford to slip up.

Brandon walked in followed by Shaquille and kaygee. I still did not turn my head, if i acted like i was invested in the show that was playing, Brandon might ignore me.

"Laur," he called out, his voice sending chills down my back... was i - was i flipping sweating? I put my hand on my forehead slowly to feel if indeed i was sweating. I wasn't even sure but i felt hot and my heart rate picked up again.
