Chapter 22: Suspect

Blackpink is now back in the mansion. Itzy assisted some mission from their senior while all of the Twice members is just sleeping in their own rooms because they just got back from mission yesterday. As for the RedVelvet, they're now on their way back.

"We have a mission in Thailand too, I swear it's a full coincidence" Mark defended themselves. Lisa sigh and massage her temple.

"Fine, I believe you guys but please don't do that again. You're putting yourselves in danger but hey... Thanks a lot" she said sincerely.

"It's nothing Pran. We're just always here." -JB

"Yeah, I know. "

"By the way, we gathered something throughout our stay in Thailand" -Jackson

"Let's not talk about that here. Send me the files. I'll go now" and Lisa close the window after hearing knocks from her door. She open it and was greeted by a tight hug from her small Joohyun.

"Thanks you're fine." Irene pull away and check Lisa from head to toe. "Are you hurt? Do you have any bruises or injuries?" She asked worried.

Lisa was amazed and is just staring at Irene. No one cares about her except Chaeyoung.

"Why? Is there any problem?" Irene caress her face while looking at her with full of concern in her eyes. The younger shake her head and lean at Irene's shoulder that made the latter caught off guard. She froze but got out of it soon then caress Lisa's hair. "Are you okay?" She asked softly.

And now, Lisa is sure. She's ready to tell everything to Irene.

"I want to tell you something." Lisa said, still laying her head in Irene's shoulder.

"I'm listening." Irene said, still caressing Lisa's hair soothingly and it somehow helps the younger to get her courage to go on.

"I'm YG's stepdaughter" she started and Irene stopped her hand's movement because of shock. "He married my mother while she's carrying me but when she gave birth to me, she died so YG put all the blame in me and despise me all his life." Lisa never move nor show any emotions. She just said it casually while still on that position.

"I know everyone here knows that I'm that kid that's getting punishment almost everyday back in trainee and rookie days and it's not a rumor because it's true. Everyday, YG will ask his apostles to bring me in his office and there's where he will beat me until he gets tired." Lisa's eyes got teary at the confession and Irene might sense it because she continue her hand's movements in Lisa's hair. She feel really bad, if only she have the guts to stand for Lisa back then, maybe she won't suffer that much from YG's hands.

"He's reminding me everyday that I'm the reason why mom's dead. My life is so hard, every words is in my head, I can feel every whips in my dream and everything is in my mind, it's just so... Hard... " Lisa's voice cracked and Irene's hurt hearing Lisa's sobs so she hug the younger and rub her back. "He don't want to hear me talking back then because if I do, he'll punish me all day and..." Lisa's sobbing so hard that she's almost choking while talking so Irene never stop her hand's movement and now, she understands why Lisa barely talk in front of people's eyes. Lisa tried talking again but she's getting interrupted by her own sobs so Lisa shush her.

"It's fine, shh. We can talk about it anytime if you're not yet ready." Irene whispered and kiss the side of her head. She pulled back and cupped Lisa's face to look at her then wipe her tears using her thumb. "I'm always here to listen whenever you're ready okay?" She guided Lisa to bed and they lay beside each other. "We're both tired so let's just rest. I'll stay" she kissed Lisa's forehead and pulled her head against her chest to spoon her and the Thai never felt so happy and contented until now.
