Chapter 23: Suspect (2)

"Are you out of your mind? Why are you coming with them? You didn't do anything!" If it's a normal scene, the girls will probably react because of Irene's sudden outburst. For all they know, Irene ain't that close to the Thai.

Lisa look at her and just smile while the agents is putting handcuffs in Lisa's wrist.

"Lis" Chaeyoung called her worriedly.

"I'll be fine." Lisa said as they took her out. Irene was about to follow when Jisoo grab her hand.

"Don't" Jisoo said as she shake her head.

The girls just look at Lisa's back who's making her way to the exit. The huge hall is really quiet because they're all looking at the scene.

Chaeyoung run outside to follow Lisa but Jisoo followed her just when she's about to reach the Thai.

"Unnie! Why are you stopping me? You know she needs us! She have a panic attack!" Chaeyoung said, a little loud while trying to remove Jisoo's grip at her.

"Just trust her. We can't do anything about it Chaeyoung. If the time comes, we will stand for witness and prove that she's innocent. For now, let's just wait and have faith." Jisoo said and finally let go of Chaeyoung's arm before walking inside again. Chaeyoung look at the van that's now driving away, she know Jisoo is right but she's just reall worried about her bestfriend.

After the attendance, the girls came back to their mansion while thinking about Lisa.

"Unnie where are you going?"

The girls that's on the living room look at the stairs to find Joy following Irene downstairs.

"I'm going to the headquarters" Irene said while putting on her coat.

Yeri, Seulgi and Wendy who just get out of Irene's room walk towards the grills of the second floor and look down at the living room.

"You can't do anything about that unnie, you'll just get punishment!" Joy said as she stop in front of Irene.

Chaeyoung and Jisoo who's in the kitchen, walk out to see what's happening.

"I don't care! I can't just stand here Joy!" Irene almost yelled at her.

"Why are you even worrying about her this much?! She's not even your friend! You'll put yourself into danger unnie!"

"Because she's my girlfriend!" Irene snap and Joy was taken a back at that, even the other girls who's watching the scene. The mansion fell into deep silent as they look at Irene with wide eyes and mouth hang open. Chaeyoung, who's having a hunch about that since day one just look away. Wendy on the other hand felt hurt, of course, but one day, she heard Yeri and Seulgi talking about Irene's feelings for Lisa so she understands now why Irene grew silent towards her when they played the never have I ever game. Mina just stand there and look at Irene, pain is evident in her eyes.

"W-What?" Joy asked in disbelief.

"I can stand as a witness because I'm with her all night and I won't just wait here if I have something that can help her now please, get out of my way or I'll make you" Irene said firmly then walk passed by Joy. The latter stand there, still in the middle of shockness while the girls followed her using their eyes.

"Let's follow her" Jisoo said as she grab her car keys.

"Lisa" Taeyang said as he sit down in front of Lisa. They're inside the interrogation room and across the wall is a one sided mirror where other agents as well as YG is watching.
