me and the golden trio sat around a table in the gryffindor common room, laughing and messing around. i don't know how we got on the subject, but we were currently talking about draco malfoy.

"he's always up your ass," i laughed while looking at harry.

"he's a bloody racist," harry said, half-serious and half-joking. we all laughed for a second before ron said something.

"y'know, it would be hysterical if he fell for some girl and then found out she wasn't a pureblood after he was in too deep."

i kind of giggled for a second before thinking. "what if he did?" i said, a bit mischievously. hermione looked at me questioningly, and then it dawned on her.

"oh no. you're not thinking-"

"maybe i am," i raised my eyebrows at her. the boys looked at us with confused faces, clearly not having the level of telepathy me and hermione had. i looked to them. "well, as you know, i am in fact not a pureblood. what if the four of us made some plan, a scheming way for him to fall for me under the ruse that i am a pureblood, and then i reveal, once he's in too deep, that i'm a 'mudblood.' sure would teach him a lesson that blood status means absolutely bloody nothing."

the boys look at me, impressed and obviously considering it, but hermione's head is in her hands.

"sounds brilliant," harry grinned.

"bloody hell, you're a genius!" ron patted my shoulder.

hermione looked up. "you can't seriously be considering this."

"i sure am," i beamed. hermione groaned. "c'mon it's a grand idea! malfoy already seems to be a bit interested in me for some reason, and we get to mess with him a little, plus teach him a lesson! don't you love teaching people lessons?" i asked, leaning my head toward her. she glared at me. "pleaseeee," i begged. "you have to be on board, you give great ideas."

she sighed loudly. "fine." me and the boys cheered, immediately getting ready to plan everything out. hermione grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill and ink, since she had the nicest handwriting. "what should i title it?" she asked.

we all thought for a second before i came up with something.

"what about 'the mudblood project'?" i offered. the others nodded.

"i quite like it," ron answered. hermione wrote the name in large font across the top of the parchment.

"okay, so, we somehow have to mention that i'm a pureblood, and that should get his attention. since he's already shown some attraction to me, him hearing i'm a pureblood should push him to make a move."

"you accept his advances, feign interest, and soon enough a relationship should be on the table," harry continued.

"after, say, three months of dating, you reveal your true blood status," ron finished.

"it'll teach him a perfect lesson," i grinned.

"are you sure he'll bite? i mean, you're a gryffindor, and not to mention friends with us," hermione voiced her doubts.

"do you doubt my pure, glowing attractiveness?" i joked. i saw her roll her eyes slightly. "kidding. but i've seen him looking at me before, for whatever godforsaken reason. and if he doesn't bite, we don't go through with our plan," i shrugged.
