Still The One (Niall Horan)

Chapter 54

∼June 3, 2022∼

*Sofia's P.O.V.*

Today is the boys' final show. This is their 5th show at The O2 Arena, and they were all sold outs. I can't believe the tour has already ended, it feels as if it just started. It was almost a year long, but I can safely say that it's been one of the best years of my life. 

"Morning petal." Niall finally woke up.

"Morning baby." I replied. "Do you know what day it is today?"

"Of course I know. It's a very important day." He rolled over to embrace me.

"Oh is it?" 

"'Corse it is. Not only is today our final show of the tour, but exactly two years ago, you and I met for the first time." An as soon as he said it, it brought a smile to my face. 

"I wasn't sure if you were going to remember."

"How could I not remember one of the best days of my life?"

"One of?" I acted offended.

"Yes, I have several best days of my life. When we first got put together as a band, when Theo was born, when I met you, when I asked you to be my girlfriend, when the boys and I decided to reunite and when you moved in with me."

"Glad to know I'm in half of those best days of your life."

"Well of course you are, you're the love of my life."

"And you're mine Nialler." I replied before pecking his lips. "And you know I could stay right here all day but we need to get up, we need to get ready for tonight." All of the boys' families were coming to their show, so it's safe to say it's a pretty big night for them.

"I know, I know. I wish we could stay right here."

"And burn in it all day." I finished singing as I stood up from the bed. "Now come on, don't leave me hanging, you have to do the dance with me." I continued as I proceeded to sing the chorus to No Control and do the dance, with Niall joining in still in bed. So we'll give him a B+ for effort, since at least he tried.

"You're unbelievable." He laughed as he finally got out of bed.

A few hours later we got to The O2 Arena, and the rest of the boys were already there. This was going to be a closed soundcheck, just like always just them, the crew and us, their girlfriends.

"Oh my god can you believe it's their final show of the tour?" Maya asked me.

"I can't honestly. I'm going to miss you all so much. It'll be weird not having you there 24/7."

"I know. Let's hope they go on tour again soon."

"Fingers crossed."

"So what are your plans after the tour ends?"

"We're going back to Ireland to spend some time with Niall's family and then I think we're coming down to London and then back to LA in July. What about you guys?"

"We're staying in London for a while, to spend more time with Bear, since we haven't been able to see him as much as we'd like because of the tour. And then we're going back to America in about 2 months I think."

"Well then we'll definitely meet up when we come back to London and then as soon as you get back to America."

"Deal."

"Guys, guys!" Gigi suddenly screamed, making us all stop dead in out tracks. 

"What is it babe?" Zayn quickly got down from the stage and rushed to her side.

"The baby."

"Is there something wrong?" You could hear the panic in Zayn's voice.

"The baby's kicking." She finally spoke as she broke into a smile. She placed Zayn's hand on her tiny bump and then Zayn exclaimed.

"I felt that." As his eyes filled with joy.

"Can I feel as well?" Harry asked as he approached them.

"Of course." And so after that, we spent the next 5 minutes taking turns touching Gigi's baby bump. Turns out the baby was quite the kicker. Gigi baby bump was slowly starting to show, since she was now 5 months pregnant. But you had to take a closer look at her belly to notice it, since it was still not very prominent.

"I can't believe the baby kicked for the first time." Gigi was telling us as the boys resumed their soundcheck.

"How does it feel?" Cami asked.

"It's weird." She laughed. "But amazing at the same time." She added.

Fast forward a few hours later and it was finally time for the show. We watched the boys get mic'd up for the last time and stayed with them while they gave their goodbye speech to the crew. A lot of tears were shed as we said goodbye to what had become our tour family, it was definitely going to be weird not being around them after so long together. 

"I'll see you after the show baby. Have a great one."

"Thanks Soph." Niall embraced me.

"I'll be looking at the most handsome man on stage all night and screaming my lungs out."

"Oh, I was hoping you'd be looking at me."

"Well duh, you're the most handsome man of course I meant you. But don't tell the others or they'll get mad." I whispered in his ear. 

"I love you petal."

"And I love you. I'll see you after the show. I know it's going to be amazing."

"Thank you." He placed a tender kiss on my lips before I left to find my seat along with the girls and the boys' families. 

And it was indeed an epic show, one could say it was the best one of the whole tour. The fans outdid themselves with the fan project. All the way from where I was you could see the boys were speechless and amazed at how much the fans loved them. After the concert ended, we all headed to a party with the families and crew to celebrate the end of the tour. I was going to miss seeing the boys and their girlfriends every day but I knew that this time, when the tour ended, we were all going to keep in touch. And I overheard the boys talking the other night about ideas for the new album, so no more stupid hiatuses. 'Cause we all know how those turn out, 18 months my ass.
