Epilogue Part 1

*Niall's P.O.V.*

"Petal are you ready?"

"Coming." She replied as she walked down the stairs. I couldn't stop admiring her as she made her way down, I couldn't believe that she was my wife and that she was carrying our baby in her belly. I was so lucky. 

20 minutes later we pulled up to the doctor's office, we had an appointment for the first ultrasound before heading for our honeymoon. I held Soph's hand as we walked inside, and I could tell that she was just as nervous and excited as I was. This was the first time we were seeing our baby, well not seeing per se since it's barely the size of a bean, but you get the point.

"Can you lift up your shirt please?" The doctor asked her once she was laying down in her office. Soph did as she was told. "The gel is a bit cold." The doctor warned her.

"It's okay." Soph replied and then she turned to look at me and smiled, we were seconds away from hearing our baby's heartbeat.

"And there's the heartbeat." The doctor voiced a few minutes later as we heard the faint sound of a heartbeat. "And that tiny dot you see right there, that's your baby." She pointed to the screen. 

"Oh my god." I hear Soph voice.

"I know." I replied, I couldn't stop smiling, I was so happy.

"So how far along is she?" I inquired.

"Based on the size,  she's 7 weeks pregnant."

"And is it okay to travel?" I asked, I wasn't risking Soph nor the baby for our honeymoon, they were far more important.

"Yeah, it's totally fine, as long as she takes her vitamins and eats healthy, everything should be fine. How long are you traveling for?"

"80 days." Soph replied and we both watched the doctor's perplexed look.

"Oh my." She laughed. "That's a lot."

"Yeah, it's our honeymoon." Soph explained.

"Oh congratulations!"

"Thank you." We spoke in unison.

"Well then, since you're going to be missing your next two appointments, we should schedule bi monthly calls to monitor your progress, and make sure to text me or call me at anytime if you have any questions or if you're not feeling well."

"Thank you so much."

"No problem. Have fun on your honeymoon and I'll see you when you get back. By the time we see each other again, we'll be able to determine the baby's gender!" 

"Thank you! And oh my god you're right." Soph exclaimed. 

"We're finding out the gender right?" Soph asked me once we were in the car.

"Yeah, Id' like to know."

"Great me too."

"Do you want a gender reveal party like everyone's doing?"

"Sure! But I'd like to know beforehand. Let's have a gender reveal party for our family and friends, but can we have our own gender reveal party just the two of us before?"
