*Sofia's P.O.V.*

While I was in the waiting room Harry's phone started ringing, I knew it could be Harry so of course I answered.

"H..Hello." I finally managed to speak.

"Soph? Is that you? What are you doing with Harry's phone?" Louis asked.

"Niall..." Was all I managed to say before I broke down crying.

"Soph what happened? You're scaring me. Is he okay? What's wrong?" Louis kept throwing questions my way but I couldn't bring myself to answer. Suddenly I felt a pair of strong arms holding me, I was startled at first, but then I looked up and saw that Harry was here.

"I'm here love. Everything's gonna be okay." Harry whispered as he held me, while I was still sobbing, not being able to speak, to him nor Louis.

"Is that Harry? Can you put him on?" Louis asked when he heard his voice, I just gave Harry the phone.

"Hello?" I heard him speak, and after a pause in which I presumed Louis was demanding to know what was going on, Harry finally told him what had happened. "Niall was involved in a car accident." Another pause. "Yes Louis he's alive." I had managed to control my sobbing by then, so he stood up and went to talk to Louis, out of my ear range. He was probably telling Louis how it all had happened, and he didn't want me to hear that given the state I was in. A few minutes later, which actually felt like hours, Harry came back and sat next to me.

"How is he?" He asked.

"They took him up to get a CT. The nurse told me that she'd come and fill me in as soon as she had information." And just as if on cue, I saw her approach us. You know how when nurses or doctors have information on a patient they tend to scream: Family of and then proceed to say the persons' name, well that nurse didn't do it with Niall. She just came over to us, and I immediately thought that something must've been wrong.

"Is everything okay?" I asked before she could even utter a word.

"Yeah. I presumed you wouldn't want me to call out his name and draw attention to you." She explained.

"Thank you." Harry told her.

"Would you like to move to a private waiting room? You'd be more comfortable there." My mind was not in the right place at the moment, and I couldn't even make a decision as simple as that one, I wasn't thinking straight, hell I wasn't even thinking. All I cared about was Niall, and that's all that was on my mind.

"Yes, thank you." Harry answered for me when he saw that I wasn't speaking. The nurse nodded and then urged for us to follow her. And thank god we did, because just as we were being escorted into a private room, we heard a commotion outside of the hospital. When I turned to look towards the doors, a bunch of paparazzis were gathered there, while the hospital's security team tried to prevent them from bursting in. Once we were in a private waiting room, the nurse started explaining what was wrong with Niall.

"Given the extent of the crash, it's a miracle he doesn't have any more injuries. He has three broken ribs, we found internal bleeding in his abdomen so we're monitoring it, but we're positive it will reabsorb itself in a few days, he also injured his left knee, given his history, the doctor decided that it was best to operate right away, so he's in surgery right now, but he's stable and in the hands of the best doctors. His brain is swollen, we've given him some steroids to help decrease the pressure, we'r hoping that that will decrease the swelling. If it doesn't then we'l have to induce a coma, but hopefully we won't have to get to that and the steroids will do the job." My brain tried to process all of the information, but it was too much too quickly. I just nodded my head, unable to articulate coherent sentences.
