*Sofia's P.O.V.*
It's almost dinner time already and Niall still hasn't come back home. I didn't want to be a clingy girlfriend and keep texting him while he's with his friends, but we seriously needed to talk. I figured I'd wait and give him some time to spend with the guys and then he'd come back home and we would talk and figure things out, but he's still not here. I decided that enough was enough, I wasn't going to be sitting around waiting for him to come home. I don't care if I come off as a clingy girlfriend, we're not in good terms right now and we need to talk, so I decided to text him, to at least figure out at what time he'd come home.
S: Niall I'm sorry for what I said, it's not what I meant
S: When are you coming home?
S: So that we can talk and solve things
I saw him go online at least 5 times before he finally replied to me half an hour later.
N: Yeah, we do need to talk
N: I'm leaving Liam's house now
20 minutes later, I heard the garage door open and I practically ran downstairs to meet Niall at the door.
"I'm so sorry." I told him as I hugged him, but he didn't hug me back. "It totally came out wrong, that's not what I meant."
"It's okay." Niall replied, without even bothering to look me in the eyes.
"No, it's not okay. I hurt you, I heard you crying."
"You went to look for me?" He finally turned to look at me.
"Of course I did, why didn't you open the door? I heard you were crying and I wanted to explain things to you."
"I didn't hear you."
"Seriously?"
"Yeah."
"I knocked, and called your name and even tried jiggling the doorknob but the door was closed. I thought you were ignoring me."
"I wasn't. I was waiting for you to come and explain things to me."
"I did try, I even called after you as you were leaving our room."
"I didn't hear you."
"Well you're here now, and you can hear me, so can we talk and work things out and stop this stupid fight over a thing I said that came out totally wrong?"
"Yeah, I think we need to talk." He answered in a serious tone. I knew that whenever anyone used that tone and says that they need to talk, nothing good comes out of it. Shit. We both walked to the couch and sat there, ready to talk.
"I didn't mean what I said."
"Then why did you say it?"
"Because, it wasn't meant to be said like that. I fucked up. I was just glad that we didn't have to get married because we were having a baby. Imagine how the public would've reacted, the hate I would've received. I didn't want to have to explain to my kid that we got married only because we got pregnant."
"So that's why you were so happy when the test came back negative?"
"Yes, that's why."
"And would it have been so bad if you had been pregnant?"
"Yes!" I exclaimed.
"Why?"
"Because...I'm not ready to have kids yet." I finally admitted.
"Well...I am."
"Like right now? You want to have a baby right now?"
"Yeah, Liam has a kid, Louis has a kid and now Zayn and Gigi are having one as well. Why do they get to experience what it feels to be a parent but I don't get to? It's not fair." I saw his eyes starting to get teary.
