"We lost them" Mark muttered out but upon hearing no response from the girl, he glanced at her only to see her slumped into the seat, head thrown back with wandering eyes, deep in thoughts.

Mark softly sighed under his breath before facing his front and pulling the car over to the side lane- the subtle tug snapping her out of her thoughts and she glanced around in perplexity only to spot the car halted at the bridge.

"We lost them?" She asked with furrowed brows, eying her empty surroundings and he hummed in response.

"I'm guessing they won't take the risk of entering the downtown, so" He shrugged, dropping his hand onto his thigh as he inclined in his seat with eyes closed.

"What now?"
"We wait," He spoke, running a hand through his black hair, pushing it back habitually.

Soyoung watched as his slick hair fell back onto his forehead, keeping her eyes trained on the boy who looked composed despite all the chasing and chaos that broke out.

Mark reopened his eyes, soon landing on the sight ahead and she glanced at his line of sight- narrowing her eyes as she made out a car spray-painted with vibrant neon green and orange haphazardly onto its matte black exterior speeding towards them, emerging out from the darkness.

Soyoung stared at the car for a few seconds before they shot wide open, "Holy fuc- is that a Ford GT?!" Mark nodded in response and her jaw fell to the floor.

"That's the car you'll be switching over to," He stated, pointing his hand at it as his finger followed the tracks of the Ford that gradually parked beside the bright red Stingray.

The tinted black glass of the supercar lowered itself revealing the person seated in the driver seat who Mark greeted with a short raised-hand wave.

Soyoung bent forward, her inquisitive eyes trailing over his appearance- the figure-hugging black turtleneck shirt layered with a shimmering black leather jacket, the black cap and the black mask obscuring from getting a view of his face; all black.

His amber brown eyes flickered from Mark and onto her, piercing through her gaze and she immediately looked away, avoiding his eyes.

"Switch, go" Mark spoke out, jerking his chin towards the GT and she exhaled out loud, keeping her eyes trained on him.

"Can't I just.. stay with you?" She reluctantly began, fidgeting with her fingers.
"Can't risk your safety Youn" He answered, placing his elbow on the arm-rest as he slightly leaned towards her.

Soyoung stared at him, eyes glancing between his own- concern and fear masking her face.

"Can't risk my safety?? Then what about y-!" Soyoung broke off when she heard the sound of roaring engine infiltrate the serene bridge, instantly recognizing them as the bikers.

Mark glanced over his seat, a raise of his brow in surprise before sharing a look with the manager who spoke something which Soyoung was barely able to comprehend since it turned out muffled cause of the mask laying over his mouth.

Mark gave a curt nod, turning to face the girl who looked twice as surprised as him, "You have to go—"
"What about you?" She quickly interrupted, "What?" He uttered out at her question, bemused as to what she meant.

"I will go but what about you, Mark?" She repeated herself, eyes unwavering on him.
"Youn, I can't fucking explain now. Hurry before things get out of my hand" He hissed out in a hurry, his attention lingering on the void fringe of the bridge.

"No, no I won't. This definitely isn't something small- they fucking laced in armed!"
"Exactly! You have you get ou—"
"I don't care! What if- oh god, what if something happens to you??" Her words made Mark pause and turn his gaze back onto her.

His round black eyes narrowed down on her, the familiar grin etching onto his red lips as he leaned further towards her, "Worried about me?" He asked out in a teasing tone, tongue dabbing at the corner of his lip.

Soyoung blinked, breath caught up in her throat at the abrupt change in his attitude- a part of her assured to see his usual self back but she couldn't seem to convince herself that everything was going to be fine and that all of them would be safe and sound.

His intense gaze remaining on her compelled her to give him a reply but she couldn't get herself to string coherent words, staying thin-lipped.

"Go" He whispered out in his hoarse voice and she averted her gaze with thumping heart, breaking their eye contact.

Mark pulled back, sitting upright in his seat with eyes staring at the girl, watching as she silently stepped out and rounded his car, soon seating herself in the other.

Soyoung was slightly anxious sitting in an absolute stranger's car and especially when she was expected to trust him and assist to get her out of this entire situation, safely.

Her eyes roamed around the insides which was mono-colored- black, the car camouflaged in perfectly with the dusky surround, almost like it didn't even exist.

The bright headlights filled the street, the motorbikes pacing towards them and Soyoung panicked, fingers instinctively curling into her palm to keep herself composed.

Blinking away the blinding light from her vision, her eyes gradually deciphered the sight ahead- the two cars halted facing opposite to one another on the narrow bridge were now surrounded by the bikers.

Her eyes darted over to the Corvette, meeting Mark's eyes that darkened, fingers gripping onto the steering firm as his slitted gaze flickered over from her to the manager.

"Leave," Mark spoke through his clenched jaw, voice terse- the Stingray's surpercharged engine roared louder on the tranquil bridge and her heart raced in her chest at the mere sound, "I'll deal with them".

And those were the final words that reached her ears before all the background commotion was blocked out when the manager rolled up his tinted glass, drifting his attention over to the girl who spoke up.

"You aren't going to just leave him alon—"
"I never said you could speak" His rough, guttural tone interrupted, turning his head to face his front.

"Huh?" She uttered out in disbelief at his blunt words and he sharply exhaled out before cranking the engine with his hand.

"I never said you have a say in this Choi Soyoung, so just stay still and watch"
