A persistent call inside a strange darkness
Then I saw you, who resembles meThe blazing noon sun shone down tenaciously, the searing rays gracing her melanin skin and innately she raised her hand to envelop her narrowed eyes in attempts to block the sunlight.
Walking towards the agape window, she placed a hand on the small handle to disclose the entry of the daylight and the thick white smoke twirling into the atmosphere not so far away caught her attention.
"Jay, work on Mr. Kim's car. I'll be back" She instructed as she wiped her greasy hands on the rag lying on the table beside her.
"Sure thing Youngie" The seventeen year old who was busy inspecting under the hood of another car yelled out in response and she nodded to herself before making her way out of the garage.
Nearing the spot she realized it was the smoke being emitted from a car and her eyebrows jumped up in surprise upon recognizing the car as a Nissan GTR.
A freaking supercar.
Her steps came to a halt on spotting that the car wasn't deserted, instead someone accompanied.
"Uhh.. excuse me?" Soyoung hesitantly began, earning the attention of the boy who was focused on examining under the hood with a not-so-pleasant expression lingering on his face.
"What?" The boy straightened up to look at the girl and she muttered out an 'oh' at his raspy tone.
His appearance first caught her eyes- the way his white shirt was barely even buttoned to the top, messily tucked in his black jeans, the dangling silver earring shinning under the bright light that beamed through the windows and his platinum blond hair complimenting his looks.
Dismissing her thoughts away, she drifted her gaze onto the car, "Any trouble?" She asked, eyeing the car.
A loud sigh of exasperation slipped his lips, "What does it look like?" He cocked up a brow, voice heavy with sarcasm and she simply shrugged.
"I can help.. May I?" Soyoung gestured towards the car and he sharply exhaled out, turning around to face her as he spoke.
"You?" He raised a finger at her almost derisively, shaking his head in disapproval as she motioned her to leave.
"That's my garage in there, I can help you with your GTR" She pointed at the well-built roofed garage situated at his vicinity and he hastily eyed at where she pointed before glancing at the girl.
He simply stared at her for a few seconds, eyes narrowing down on her as he internally debated within himself.
A smile curled up on her lips, aware he was convinced with her words- her fingers gripping onto the hood of her sweatshirt, pulling it over her head.
"Now, may I..?" She nonchalantly asked and he stepped aside, providing her with enough space to examine his car.
After inspecting under the hood for some good time, she spoke up, "Just an overheat- some coolant and you'll be good to go".
Not hearing any response from him, she looked to her side only to see him already have his eyes on her— the corner of his lips quirked and perplexed, she raised a brow at his reaction.
"It's impressive to see a normal girl know about...cars and stuff" He commented, tilting his head to the side, intrigued.
"That's stereotypical. Also, what makes you think I'm some normal girl?" She pointed at herself, furrowing her brows and he chuckled out under his breath- his soft dimples prominent on his face and she couldn't help but smile in return.
"Get under the shade for a few" She said and he wordlessly followed the girl towards the garage.
"That's a Nissar GTR isn't it?" She asked, strolling round the aisle with eyes roaming around the coolants as she softly hummed a tune under her breath while searching for the right one.
"Well spotted. Wonder how you know about race cars" Her eyes drifted to the figure who leaned against the wall, arms crossed with astonishment dancing in his eyes.
"Just" She replied, waving aside his question and approaching him she handed over the coolant to him and his outstretched hand grasped onto it with a small nod despite her not so convincing response.
"I'm assuming you do know the instructi—"
"I do, thanks"He spun around on his heel, making his way towards the car, "Well I never said that was for free" Those words accompanied with a small laugh from her made his steps come to a halt.
"Right," He turned back around, fingers delving in his pocket as he pulled out a card, "Here" He placed it on her palm and her bewildered eyes stood fixated on him, awaiting for him to speak.
"The next time we meet, there," His finger tapped onto the card and before she could react he walked away from her.
"Oh! Hey- your name?"
