HIDDEN CELLAR,
GURI─ OUTSKIRTS OF SEOULExpect the unexpected. And to confront him out of everyone was definitely unexpected by her.
"Hwiyoung?" Yeri breathed out, perplexed at the person who manifested ahead of her, "You didn't have to get so defensive just now" He hissed, nearly missing her elbow by an inch, his hand reflexively shielding himself.
"Why are you here?" Yeri asked while distancing herself from him and dropping her hands by her side. The girl warily skimmed around for any presence but when she caught onto no one, her gaze settled on him, "What do you have to do with me?".
"Listen," Hwiyoung began, taking a step closer as though he was to uncover an untold secret and the girl rolled her eyes, biting the inside of her cheek while looking away, least interested to engross in a conversation with him.
"Come back" His words caught her off guard, her eyes meeting his, "What?" She uttered out, bemused, raising her eyebrow awaiting for an explanation.
Hwiyoung parted his lips to speak but she raised her palm in the air, making him pause and she proceeded, "If this is about Pheonix I don't wanna hear anything from you. I don't fucking care what you have to say".
Hwiyoung groaned, throwing his head back in exasperation, running a hand through his silky black hair, "It is about Phoenix, it always will be" He muttered, making an effort to keep himself composed but the very sight of the girl in front of him didn't let him.
"I chose to join Pheonix for Changbin. It's my choice. The last thing you can do is respect my decision. But again, I don't expect anything from you, not after all that you did" Yeri said so as to defend herself and lowly glared at him before averting her gaze.
Hwiyoung exhaled out loud, tongue poking the inside of his cheek before an airy chuckle slipped his lips, "What, is this about them? C'mon, it's stupid of you to still cling onto mum and dad's death after all these damn years".
Yeri impulsively raised her hand, grabbing his collar and shove him away, sending his back to harshly collide against the wall, "Shut up. Shut the fuck up Hwi" She daunted, her heart blundering in her chest as her breaths became erratic at the thought of her parents who were no longer alongside the girl— taking away her contentment and smile with them to heavens, forever.
