Xia didn't know what to say as she stared into her brother's eyes. "I..."
On the otherhand, Yangyang seemed perfectly calm as he quickly plastered on a small smile, stretching his hand out to Kun. "Hi, I'm Yangyang. I believe we met the other day."
Kun didn't seem amused though, not even bothering to shake it. "Why are you here? Who are you? And why are you wearing my clothes?"
Xia immediately stepped between them, pulling Yangyang behind her. "Gege, calm down, he just stayed over last night. He's my..."
What even are we?
"Boyfriend." Yangyang finished, to the Qian siblings' surprise. Wait what?
"Excuse me?" Kun exclaimed as he blinked a few times, unable to take in what Yangyang had said.
"I'm her boyfriend." Yangyang said, much more firmly. "Is there a problem with that?"
Instead of acknowledging the male, Kun's eyes went straight towards Xia. "We'll be talking later."
Great.
Xia watched as Kun went straight to his room, dragging his bags along with him before slamming the door, making both of them flinch.
"Don't worry about him, he'll get over it." Yangyang said as he ruffled her hair, moving towards the finished food in the pan. "Let's just eat first."
Xia could only follow Yangyang with her eyes as he transferred the food onto a plate. "Why did you say that?"
"Say what?" Yangyang asked. "That I'm your boyfriend?"
"Yeah." Xia mumbled as Yangyang opened a few drawers before finding the chopsticks, grabbing two pairs before heading to the table. Xia grabbed the soy milk from the fridge, getting to glasses before folowing him.
"Do you have a problem with it?" Yangyang asked as he set the plate down, taking the jug of soymilk from Xia's hands to pour into the glass.
"No, it's not that. It was just unexpected." Xia told him.
"Well I like you and you like me so I don't see why us dating is a problem." Yangyang said nonchalantly as he sat down across from Xia. "Plus, I think it's harder to explain why a male that isn't your boyfriend is staying over."
Xia sighed as she grabbed a pair of chopsticks, picking some food up. "It's just that my family is very conservative. They're not a big fan of dating and having... you know..."
Yangyang shot her a look. "Xia, how do you get married without dating? And as last night showed, people can sleep together without having sex."
Xia bit her lip, holdling in her giggle at how blunt Yangyang was. This didn't go unnoticed by him. "What?"
"That was just you know... Kind of funny." Xia said, taking a bite and smiling. Yangyang rolled his eyes.
"Your brother is your brother, not your parents. He should be happy that you found someone like me." Yangyang said full of confidence as he sipped his soymilk.
"Whatever you say," Xia said with smirk before adding, "boyfriend."
Yangyang began choking, only making Xia throw her head back in laughter. Once he could breathe again, he gave Xia the dirtiest look. "Why you little-"
Before he could finish, Kun's door opened and the two of them immediately stopped talking, quietly eating as Kun went to the kitchen to make himself food.
"You're so dead when we return back to our room." Yangyang hissed, only making Xia giggle as she continued to eat.
