PROLOGUE
"Let's go with the young adult fiction movie, that one." I said and pointed the remote cursor to the particular movie title.
"Okay, it's your subscription. What can I say, right?" She chuckled.
I turned the play button on using the remote control of our television. We're the ones left here in our house and it's currently almost 3 A.M. Technically, it's midnight. With dim lights in my room, we're just hanging in here.
"He's pretty annoying, I hate him!" She said, talking about the leading man of the movie.
We watched it closely while eating midnight snacks, especially pop corn.
"I observed something," I uttered.
"Ugh, I'm so done with your observations, I mean, yeah, I'm pretty smart, but.. you're in a different level of being smart!" She exclaimed.
"Hmm. Yeah, I think he murdered his girlfriend's mother. I mean, the plot twist is about him being a psychotic lover." I explained.
"Maybe," She took the remote from my hand aggressively. I just glared at her and suddenly looked at the television again.
"Maybe we need to watch a mystery-thriller movie, or a detective story line so I could get what you're tryin' to say, girl." She smirked at me and quickly found a movie of her own genre choice.
Well, I love mysteries. I love solving strange logical puzzles. Maybe I'd love to watch this one.
"Ah! Oh my gosh!" We both shouted because of the creepy voice in the introduction.
We laughed, looking at each other while panting.
"'Pag ako talaga napanaginipan ko 'to, ha." I threatened her.
"Okay, focus." She said, so we focused on the movie's introduction again.
"1 school.
640 students.
100 are killers.
5 are investigators.56 rooms.
15 are locked, 41 are unlocked.
30 keys, 15 are false ones.
50 days were to escape.Friendship, Betrayal, and Alliances were formed.
Disloyalty, Breaking of trusts and Killings happened.
Would you dare to move forward?
Would you dare to fight for your own life? There is only one golden rule that everyone should follow:
DO NOT TRUST ANYONE, EVEN YOURSELF.
Can you survive?"
