EPILOGUE

What do you think is the most valuable lesson I learned?

Trust.

Trust is the most important lesson I learned, because through trust, we gain friends, have hope and faith, make good relationships with each other and became good leaders.

Trust equals Betrayal, yes, that's true, that's why you must trust the true ones, and not the fake ones. Trust builds up strong and steady relationships, because if you don't trust each other, you have doubts, if you have doubts, you quarrel, if you quarrel, you build a wall in between the both of you, and if you build a wall in between, the relationship will become distant and finally, the both of you will detatch from each other.

That's why trust each other, because if you won't, then your relationship will tear apart.

It almost happened to me when I knew Dwaynell was hiding a secret, because I lost hope in him, and it broke my trust in him. But it went back when I knew the reason behind it.

"And the masterminds were Mr. Aban Ed Ding and Mrs. Donya Lind Ding." Riann finished.

The REAL policemen took note of the important details and released the four of us from the investigation room. My parents fetch me and Riann from the police station, while Edward was driven back to his house by Dwight.

"I'm sorry."  my parents both said. I looked at them, confused.

"We enrolled you in that school, but we didn't know what danger lies in it. Nang dahil sa 'min, your life was put to danger." sabi ni Mom. I smiled before hugging her from behind.

"It's not your fault, Mom," I said. "No one's at fault except for the CEOs of the school. They're demons."

"Yes! Agree po ako kay Beatrixia, Tita," singit ni Riann. "Pero may hindi pa po sinasabi si Bea sa inyo,"

"Huh?" I asked her, confused.

"Alam niyo po ba na halos isakripisyo niya ang buhay niya para sa amin?" she said. My eyes widened and I tried to stop her from saying those to my parents, but she continued anyway.

Nu'ng matapos niyang isalaysay ang lahat ng 'sacrifices' na ginawa ko, namamanghang tinignan ako ng ni Dad mula sa mirror.

"Kung namatay ka Bea, may anghel na akong anak." sabi niya.

"Dad?! Masaya ka pa na mamamatay ako doon?!" I exclaimed. They laughed so hard.

"Oo nga, 'no?" pag-agree ni Mom. "May martyr na sana tayong anak, 'di ba?"

"Pati ba naman ikaw, mommy?!" singhal ko.

We reached Riann's house and dropped her off. She bid goodbye, I saw how her parents rushed to hug her at the doorway.

I felt so relieved.

The thought that we're alive... haven't sank in my mind yet. We barely made it out alive, we barely lived, but God never left us, and helped us escape.

"Bilisan mo nga, Beatrixia Taclas!" inis na sigaw ni Riann Adelaide mula sa ibaba ng aming bahay.

I'm currently drying my hair and fixing my attire. We'll attend Dwaynell's funeral now. You don't know how much I concealed my happiness when Dwaynell's body was found by the policemen inside that wretched hell-like place, particylarly in the jungle.

His foster parents cried when the cops told them that Dwaynell was already dead. Dwight was there to comfort them, and Dwaynell's little sister, Danniah. Since Danniah was still little, she didn't fully understand the cause of her brother's death.
