CHAPTER 19 - SUSPICIOUSLY FASCINATING

It's terrifying to see ourselves being caged like wild animals preparing for their deaths. We're in different huge cages, the students that were grouped by me and my friends are trapped in also groups.

"The fires are travelling through the grasses!" Riann exclaimed.

"Look!" A college student said, looking above the cages.

Mabuti na lang at may mga suot pa din na ID ang iba na hindi sa Buillion dormitory nakatira kaya nalalaman namin kung anong grupo o grade level na ba sila by the color of their ID laces.

All of us looked above the cages we are caged at, some are crying, some are wandering, some are observing, some are stunned and traumatized, some are cold-looking, some are whispering prayers, and majority are being tough and brave, trying to figure out how to escape.

"Cage controls," I muttered.

"How did you know?" Sabi ng isang Grade 9 na malapit sa amin.

I cleared my throat, "Ah, I..."

"She played and watched a lot of Dinosaur games and movies, right?" Riann teased. "Like, a mission to free the stegosauruses,"

"At least I can now use those learnings," I smirked back.

"Shh, we don't have time for dino lessons," Edward said.

"Now, focus," Dwaynell told us.

"Okay, the flames are just beside the cages, but... how can we get up there?" Dwight asked aloud.

"Killer!" A grade 7 student said.

I saw how he walked bravely towards us. He's all alone, with no long-ranged weapons with him. I aimed my spear towards his shoulder and successfully threw it.

"It's okay! It's just an ant's bite, it'll heal!" I mocked him.

"How can we climb up there again?" I seriously said like nothing happened at all.

"W-woah," The students uttered.

"You already told us what to do," A grade 10 boy said, smiling a bit.

"Huh?" I asked, confused.

"Climb," Dwight answered.

"Oh," I uttered. "No, makukuryente ang lahat ng aakyat dahil high voltage powered ang mga metal bars na 'to," I explained.

"Oh, geez, this is a unending nightmare," Riann muttered.

"I know what to do," Edward said.

"What?" We asked.

"Okay, everyone, attention!" Edward shouted. "Choose one person per cage to climb up and look for the cage controls. The cages are hanging by that metal barrier ceiling and has a high voltage of electricity. The metal cages, as for I observed and experienced, electrifies the dermis and the epidermis layers of our skins. Once you reached that part use your grappling hooks, remember the hooks we brought from the gymnasium? Yes, those hooks with ropes tied on the end. You must attach it on the nearby tree around you and make sure that the rope is tight. Don't ever climb without your shoes on. When the representative of your group already hit the right button and when the cages went up, help the others climb out from the cage and stick with each other!" He explained.

"Nice," Riann complimented.

"I know, thank you," Edward smirked and Riann rolled her eyes as a response.
