"Patton turn that off." Roman groaned as the sound of static filled his ears. "That noise is going to attract Z's like flies." It was hard enough as it was trying to avoid them without that blasted radio.

"But Ro, you heard what Kai was saying..." Patton's face lit up and Roman just rolled his eyes. "... they're making a cure!"

"That was not what was being said." Patton just sighed as he slowly put the radio in his bag. Roman glanced out the door and frowned. The place was crawling with those undead bastards. "Besides they're probably long since dead by now."

"We should evact soon, Roman. If we don't want to join him that is." Roman glanced over to see Logan giving him this look and he nodded. Janus was strapping a bag over his shoulder only to freeze and frown.

"There's too many that way. I can hear maybe... 5 just outside the door?"

"7 and we won't be going that way." Roman quickly stated as he grabbed a metal bar, shoving through the door handle. The moment he let go of the bar the door started to push open or attempted to anyway. The bar was keeping it shut as the zombies tried to get it. Roman ran over grabbing Patton's bag so that he can just focus on running. "Time to go."

"But where?" Roman just smiled brightly as he pointed towards the window. Patton sighed as he ran to follow the others. Roman quickly glanced back just to make sure they got everything before following them all out the window. He helped Patton off the ground the moment his feet touch the dirt and laughed.

"Don't stop now, Doc." Patton grabbed his hand letting him pull him up just as a few z's rounded the corner.

"Wouldn't dream of it, Kiddo." Patton smiled back at him as they both took off running catching up to the other two in no time. It wasn't long before they all managed to get far enough away. Sure there were a few persistent fuckers that they had to put of their misery but they managed. They had made it to the parking lot of another building when Roman froze. He could hear the zombies but... He couldn't see them. He looked over to see Jan grabbing his sniper and he frowned. "You sure about this Jan?"

"Sounds like one is attacking something. Might as well mercy them both, you know?" Mercy... Roman always hated the term. He understood why they called it that but those damn fuckers were already dead. You're giving 'mercy' to a corpse that's only desire is to crack you open. Janus jumped up on a car looking around when he froze. "Roman, you're gonna want to see this."

"Why?" He just gestured for Roman to come without even bothering to look down. Roman frowned and followed suit, jumping on the car slightly peeved. He didn't understand why Janus didn't just kill the... He spotted a zombie literally over top of someone. He could see the purple hair and he narrowed my eyes in confusion. "A zombie... attacking another zombie?" He heard Janus cock back his rifle and looked over to see him lining his shot. "Shoot the top one." Janus paused for a second looking back at him with confusion. Roman just shook his head. "Shoot the top one only." Roman pulled his gun out of his holster and dropped down just in time to hear Janus's gun go off. He started making his way over to the other one fully prepared to put a bullet in its brain when he froze. The other z practically threw the dead one off as it screamed out. Roman tensed up seeing it start to scramble back closer and closer, never once turning around. He pointed his gun at it just as it bumped into him and he pulled the slide back to load his gun. They threw their arms up so fast as they slowly looked back at him with this intense fear.

"A zombie surrendering... now that's a first." They just tensed up and narrowed their eyes at him as Roman glared them down.

"Don't you think that's a bit harsh?" Roman's eyes went wide. It just spoke to him. Like actually legitimately spoke to him. Zombies don't speak. They just grunt, grown, and gurgle. They chomp down on your face until there nothing left. They don't even give themselves time to talk. They just attack. "I know I haven't looked in a mirror lately but... I'm sure I don't look that dead on my feet." Roman was frozen in shock. They glanced around and he could see the desperation.

"You don't look dead. You look like a Z." The zombie-thing just frowned. "Your purple hair..." Their head shot up and Roman froze. Roman watched as the man reached up pulling some hair in front of his eyes and frowned.

"Pigmentation?" Roman raised an eyebrow at him and he looked away.

"What about the blue in you're skin?" He held his one hand not in a glove out and examined it with a scowl.

"It's not that blue and I told you I have a pigment problem. Besides... You literally just saved me from being eaten." Roman sighed and let his arm drop a bit. He had a point. Roman narrowed his eyes spotting the cut on the man's forehead bleeding and he frowned.

"You're hurt." He could see the man's fists ball up tightly and he frowned. Roman quickly returned his gun to it's holster and held his hand out for him. He just stared at it confused. "You're bleeding and we have a doctor."

"You aren't going to shoot?" Roman frowned and shook his head, starting to feel a bit guilty.

"Sorry about that. I just... can't be too careful. I have people I have to protect." The man frowned taking his hand and letting Roman help him up. He shoved his hands into his hoodie pockets looking anywhere but at the other. Roman just offered him a smile as he gestured back towards his group. "Why don't we see if Doc can't patch you up?"
