Roman tensed up the second he noticed the sign that had passed by his window. He had to have been imagining things, right? They couldn't possibly have been-... Roman's eyes narrowed as the road started to get rough and he sighed, realizing what that meant. They just couldn't catch a break.

"Hey, Lo? We may need to lose the car." Logan just nodded as he kept going down the path. Zombies were few and far in-between but the car wasn't doing so good on the road. Logan pulled over right under another sign and Roman's frown only grew. Everyone slowly started to pile out. Even Virgil who looked about ready to run again. He didn't, but he did look it. He didn't really look that well either. Roman just looked up at the sign and cursed under his breath. It turned out he wasn't imagining things.

"What's wrong, Lieutenant dufus?" Roman crashed at the sound of Virgil's voice behind him.

"Nothing." Roman sighed as he turned away from the sign, holding the dog tags around his neck tightly. "I just know this place is all."

"You do?" Patton smiled brightly even despite how Roman cringed before nodding.

"It's going to storm, Ro." Logan called out catching everyone's attention. Roman's eyes narrowed again as he looked up at the sky with a grimace. How exactly could Logan tell that? There wasn't a cloud in sight. Janus just sniffed the air and sighed, making Roman's heart drop.

"He's right and by the smell of things... I'd say thunderstorm." Roman cringed at that. If Jan agreed then... damn that snake.

"Well shit." The sound of thunder will draw z's in like a god damn wave. Not only that but it will rile them up so bad. It'll be best if they hid and rode it out. Roman ran a hand through his hair in thought and sighed. "I uh... There's a town not that far from here."

"We should go hide." Roman narrowed his eyes as he looked over at Virgil seeing how anxious the other was and frowned. He was looking even paler and his eyes were glossy. Virgil really wasn't well, was he? "Preferably soon..."

"Uh yeah. This way." It took them a bit but they managed to get to town without any zombie incidences. Roman could see the sky darkening only adding to the nervous air around them. Virgil was antsy, to say the least. He was jumping at nearly every sound. When they finally got into town he ran into the nearest store causing them all to stop and have to follow him. Roman stood there staring at the bathroom door hearing the sound of him gagging and his chest just dropped. "Hey, Virgil? Are you..." The sound stopped and he sighed hearing Virgil's footsteps through the door. "Are you good?" The door opened to reveal a very sickly looking Virgil standing there.

"I'm just a little..." He sighed and looked away, but even still Roman could quite clearly see the other was sick. "I'm fine, Roman."

"Guys look at this." They both turned to see Janus pointing out the window. They both shot each other this look before running off to check. From where Janus was standing you could literally see the storm approaching.

And it was not pretty.

"We need to go!" Roman grabbed Virgil's arm tightly as the youngest practically froze up in fear. The sound of their quickened footsteps reverberated around them only being drowned out by the occasional thunderous roar from the sky. Roman wasn't even really paying attention to where he had been leading them. His body just moved on its own, following the familiar paths until he ended up on a dark oak porch. Virgil pressed himself against the wall as Janus and Logan stood guard. Roman stood there, hands slightly shaking, as he struggled to think. It wasn't like he exactly had his house keys anymore. How was he supposed to...

Patton grabbed a rock and sent it flying through the glass of the door scaring the shit out of Virgil. He reached his hand in and unlocked the door, opening it up with a smile.

"Well... that works." Roman grumbled a bit, far too lost in his nerves to even care about his childhood home being broken into. He quickly ushered everyone in as the rain started to fall. The thunder got louder and Roman could already see the zombies spilling out into the streets. He, with Logan's help, pushed the bookshelf against the door as Virgil ran off again. Roman was just... in shock, is the best phrase he guessed. He was home. Home... There was a blood-curdling scream and Roman's eyes shot wide.

"VIRGIL?!" He wasted no time running down the hall only to freeze as Virgil stood there just blocking the bathroom door. He looked terrified. "Virgil..."

"It's fine. I'm fine. It's... it's nothing." Roman narrowed his eyes in disbelief as Virgil just shook his head taking a deep breath. "I just... I thought I saw something. It was nothing. Sorry."

"You scared the shit out of us!" Virgil cringed slightly as Janus raised his voice. Roman just sighed before chuckling a bit earning a glare from the both of them.

"You're such a scaredy-cat, Virgil." Virgil narrowed his eyes glancing back behind him before looking back down at the ground.

"Yeah... just scared. That's all."
