The second the alarms started blaring everyone jumped to their feet, weapons in hand, only to see Chris running back in with this scared look on his face. He was out of breath as he ran over to the monitors in some sort of a frantic state. Something was clearly wrong and the first thing Roman noticed... was the distinct lack of a certain zombie looking emo in a panic rushing to find out why everything was going to shit now.

"Chris..."

"Someone opened the emergency hatch." Chris called out in a shrill tone cutting Logan off. Roman eyes narrowed in suspicion as everyone else raced over to see what he was doing. Roman couldn't deny the pit steadily growing in his gut. He prayed he was wrong here. But then again... Virgil wasn't the only one who wasn't particularly falling for this man's hospitality. He was desperate to believe Virgil was wrong about it all. As Roman knew how the both of them tended to be more on the paranoid side of things.

"What's the alarm about?" Chris ran a hand through his hair as he glanced over at him with this look in his eyes... they looked off. They looked cold. Roman crashed as that pit turned into a full-blown jab at his chest. His instincts were taking off and he knew Virgil was right. Just with that look alone, he could tell something was very wrong about that doctor.

"You're friend opened the emergency hatch and ran out." Roman's blood went cold... as he took a step back. No... No that... Did he... He meant Virgil, didn't he? Virgil ran? No. Roman clenched his fists as his expression set. There was no way. Not with how cold those man's eyes were. "The alarm signal is about it being opened. If I don't shut it down soon..." The sound of banging could be heard and Chris's eyes went dark. "Too late." He started shutting things down and grabbing whatever he could. "We need to go."

"But Virgil..."

"He's already gone." Chris yelled out as he took off running. Roman just shook his head as glanced around at the others. All he could see was Janus shrugging.

"You know he would if he got the chance."

"I must concur with Janus, Roman." Logan took Janus's hand as they both took off running. The only one that looked just as worried was Patton.

"Something isn't right." Patton just looked down sadly making Roman frown in disbelief. "I know he was scared and... a major flight risk but... I don't know. Something just doesn't feel right. I swear... He wouldn't have just run. Especially not with how he was when I last spoke with him." The banging continued making Roman's frown grow. His stomach dropped badly as Patton started to push him to follow. Roman grimaced as he forced himself to sidestep out of Patton's gasp causing them both to stumble a bit. "You go, Pat. I gotta check something out."

"But Roman..." Roman simply shot him this look and Patton nodded knowing better than to fight Roman when he's in his protective mode. Roman watched as Patton ran off before he could hear the doors moving. Roman faltered in confusion as he looked back to see them slowly starting to open. He growled as his suspicion raged on in him before quickly racing off to where he had last seen Virgil. There is no way those doors should have opened. They were metal. They would have been safe... so why did Chris insist that they weren't? Where did Virgil go? Why... Roman froze hearing the blaring getting louder. There were groans emanating from a door in the room he had stumbled into and he crashed. His heart just dropped more spotting the broken computer that laid smashed on the ground.

"Roman." Roman slowly turned back to see Chris standing there utterly pissed off and Roman sighed, just pulling his gun out without pause. The smile Chris had only made Roman pissed at himself. He should have listened to his gut the second they walked into the place. And if he couldn't... He should have listened to Virgil when he started to get the same eerie feeling. Roman took his aim only for Chris to laugh. "Oh, I wouldn't do that." He pressed this button on the wall making this loud ass blaring horn tare through the room. The groaning turned into loud yelling and screeching making Roman tense up and look back at the door. The sound of zombies hitting the door rang through the room only adding to the complete self-disappointment Roman had in disregarding his and Virgil's skepticism... If anything happened to that emo, he would never forgive himse-. "You're both so god damn nosey. You just can't leave well enough alone, can you? Just like him... That stupid man."

"Virgil?!" Chris's eyes darkened as he got even closer forcing Roman to stumble back a bit, carefully pointing my gun at him. "Where is he? What did you do to him?"  Roman felt his throat burning as his hands started to shake seeing how Chris just smiled wickedly as held his arms out. No... No there... Did he really fuck up that badly.

"He wanted to see the others." Roman's blood went cold as Chris's voice came out in a hiss. "My bet is... he saw a little too much..." Chris started laughing as Roman struggled to even keep his gun up. The guilt that tore through his chest... Virgil was right. This was bad. He knew something was wrong. HE SHOULD HAVE LISTENED! Shit! "...as they tore him apart..." There was this loud banging almost like someone was trying to kick the door down and Chris's eyes narrowed. The man groaned as he quickly turned back to Roman, who was clearly breaking down what with how dead his eyes had gotten so suddenly. "No, bother. You'll join him soon." Roman forced himself to take a breath as he squared his shoulder, trying desperately to not lose himself just yet to his own guilt, far too lost in confusion to realize that he should have been firing already. "I'd imagine the zombies would enjoy a second meal-..." The door burst open making Roman spin around to see zombies spilling out into the room. He was frozen in fear. Everything finally tugged on his mind to the point where he just stood there staring death in its face without the slightest hint of recognition... That was until someone grabbed his hand.

"Moron.." Roman suddenly turned to see Virgil completely terrified and his eyes went wide. To think he was actually happy to see the storm cloud. More so... To see the Stormcloud so irrefutably pissed at him. Roman felt himself holding back tears again as Virgil yanked his arm forward. "...MOVE!" Virgil started him dragging out as the sound of gunshots filled the void. They ran out to the living room only to have to turn and run again because zombies were spilling in from the open doors. "Shit!"

"You're telling me." Roman laughed a little, unable to completely drown out his joy over Virgil being there as they ran. They made it to this emergency exit as zombies ran after them. Roman felt his chest go light only to feel Virgil shove him out the door. Roman jumped up just in time to hear it close behind him and his panic pulled him under yet again. "VIRGIL?!" He watched as Virgil threw this bar over the door blocking it with a small smile on his face. "Virgil, what... What are you do-..."

"GO!" He yelled out before disappearing just as zombies practically fell into the door before they could even get him. Roman felt that burst in him as he clenched his fists. His protective nature set his blood on fire as he ran to try and help him only to get thrown off as someone grabbed him and held him back.

"LET ME GO! I HAVE TO-..."

"It's too late Roman!" Roman froze hearing Logan's voice crack and it took everything in him to turn his focus away from the emo trapped in the building. "We uh... We have to deal with Janus." Roman spun around to see Patton bent over Janus everything came crashing down around him. His mind was tugged in so many directions he didn't know where it was trying to take him. "Chris he... When he heard you stayed behind he snapped. He shot Jan. I'm sorry but Virgil's not..." There was this explosion behind them making everyone crash to the dirt as rock and fire spilled behind them. Zombies spilled out in the area and Logan struggled to pull Janus up in his arms. Roman staggered to his feet, dirt and soot cover his face and body, as his tears finally started to spill. "Roman we have to go."

"But Virgil..." Patton grabbed his hand making Roman jerk back to see the fear in his friend's eyes. These fiery demon-looking zombies walked out of the flames and Roman knew they had no choice. He was the leader after all. He had to make the call and protect his people. He was supposed to protect his people. "Ok. Let's go."

They all jumped into this truck as logan started stressing bad. It was that obvious. Everyone was stressed. Patton was gripping the leather seat as Logan frantically tried to hotwire the truck. Janus was unconscious and bleeding as Roman... Roman, he sat there lost in his mind as his tears refused to stop falling. He should have listened to him. When Virgil admitted to having the SAME bad feeling he was, he should have listened... and look what happened. Virgil trapped himself in the building before the damn thing exploded and Janus is shot. Roman was falling into that pit as Logan FINALLY got the thing to turn over. The truck roared to life just as the sound of something jumped into the truck bed. Roman, completely on instinct at this point, instantly turned around to see someone hitting the window as he pointed his gun back through the rearview.

"You gonna shoot me now, Princey?" Roman froze up, his eyes wide in shock, as his hands started to tremble. "We need to move, Lo!"

"On it!" The truck took off and Roman cringed at the sound of Virgil falling back hard.

"HOW DID YOU SURVIVE?!"
