Ok so... create a distraction. Check. Get past zombies without getting hurt or panicking. Check... ish. Virgil may have panicked a little. He kinda tripped and had fallen onto a zombie. It wasn't pretty. Anyway... make it to the hospital. Check. Go inside and not freak out. Not quite.

Virgil went inside. He went inside and even managed to get past the waiting room without so much as an ounce of anxiety. It was the moment that he found himself in an examination room that he found that he was shaking horribly. They would have had to take Janus into a surgical room. A room that Virgil definitely did not want to be in, but that didn't really matter if he couldn't even get past this.

He was just walking aimlessly through the hallways. It sucked. It really did. He didn't have to worry about the zombies. HE LITERALLY FELL ON TOP OF ONE AND IT DID NOTHING! What sucked was... Virgil didn't know what was happening. It had to be the bites and... the vaccine? It was an experimental substance. Virgil was the only one that survived apparently. There was no way to know of any side effects and on top of that... He had been bitten. TWICE!

Virgil... He was basically a Zombie Human hybrid.

That would explain his appearance... and the fact that they don't attack him. They must see him as one of their own. Right? That only freaked him out more. He didn't want to be one of them. He didn't want to be a freak. He wasn't a freak. He wasn't... He...

Virgil froze feeling the tears fall from his eyes and he just fell to his hands and knees. He couldn't do it. He just couldn't be this... savior of the human race. He was just him. Just... Virgil Storm. They made him a freak. The doctor... No. The humans made him a freak. At least the zombies don't turn on each other. They know their own and... and they leave each other alone! Human's are worse than zombies.

So much worse...

So much...

Virgil tensed up seeing a tissue in front of his face, as he narrowed his eyes. He slowly looked up to see this small zombie boy holding it out to him and frowned. What the...

"Are you giving me a tissue?" The zombie boy did nothing but tilt its head and Virgil sighed taking the tissue from it. He couldn't help but smile a bit. Here Virgil was crying... and a zombie gave him a tissue. What's the luck in that? "Thanks."

"Virgil?" Virgil tensed up as he looked up to see Roman standing there watching in horror. The zombie boy started to turn. Virgil did the first thing that came to mind and grabbed its arm.

"Don't." It froze as it slowly turned back to look at Virgil and Roman's fear got even worse. "Leave them alone. They're not food." The boy just tilted his head but made no attempt to attack them. Was it really listening to him? Even as Patton joined us it didn't move. It just kept watching Virgil... almost as if it was waiting. For what, Virgil didn't know. Roman was quick to pull his gun out, and Virgil just let his hand drop with a frown. "Don't kill it."

"It's a zombie, Virgil." Virgil narrowed his eyes as Roman looked at the boy with such hate.

"It's just a child."

"IT'S A ZOMBIE!" Virgil jumped a little as Roman pointed the gun at the boy. "And ALL zombies deserve to die." Roman pulled the trigger, making everything in Virgil go cold as he watched the boy's body drop to the ground. His body shuddered in fear as he looked back up at Roman unable to really comprehend what just happened. He slowly got to his feet, unsteady as the panic slowly started to pull him under.

"You didn't have to do that. He wasn't doing anything. He..."

"WAS A ZOMBIE!" Virgil flinched and narrowed his in anger. Roman wasn't listening and that only made the panic worse. His mind was throwing all these thoughts at him. Virgil was seconds from breaking down.

"Would you kill me?" Roman's eyes went wide and Patton started to look concerned. The doctor was about to say something but just glared at them both. "Would you kill me, Roman?"

"If you turned..."

"I SAID WOULD YOU KILL ME!" Virgil had had enough. He ripped off his glove in anger and held his arm out towards Roman, making the man freeze up in shock.

"Kiddo..." Tears burned Virgil's eyes as they fell, making Patton try to reach out for him. Patton already knew. Virgil had already told him about the bites and everything that happened. Patton just... He never actually saw the bites before. Not that Virgil would ever let anyone see the bite on his leg.

"Would you shoot me, Roman?" Roman looked up at Virgil dead in the eyes and just... Virgil didn't know. He couldn't read his emotions. There was so much going on but so little of it made any sense. Virgil was crying, but he was also very pissed. "I told you. I told you you didn't know a damn thing." Virgil slowly started to put the glove back on as he just stared at his arm, his eyes so filled with pain. "Subject Storm has vital information pertaining to the zombie vaccine. That's just a load of bullshit." Roman's eyes narrowed as Virgil just broke down more with a sad smile. "They want my blood. I'm the only person ever to survive a zombie bite. Two... I've been bitten twice."

"How..." Virgil couldn't help how he rolled his eyes, hearing how soft and quiet Roman had spoken. "How did you..."

"How doesn't matter, Roman. I asked you a question." Roman was just staring at him in shock. "Would you shoot me? I mean... You just said all zombies deserve to die."

"But you're not..."

"Seriously?! The very first time you saw me you thought I was a zombie. They don't attack me anymore. That fucking kid brought a tissue!" Virgil forced himself to look away as he ran a hand through his hair with a shaky breath. "I'm tired, Roman. I'm tired of fighting facts. Whatever they did to me... I'm just not human anymore."

"What you are doesn't matter." Virgil crashed as Roman slowly put his gun away. Roman seemed so dead as his face fell to a look of numbness. Despite the whirlwind of emotions in his eyes none of them were shone in his expression. "Our mission is to get you California alive. I intend to get that bounty regardless of the cargo."
