Keep adventuring. Your home is far, but not gone. Happiness will find you in ways you couldn't imagine.

He had been running for so long now. It wasn't from anyone or anything. He just ran. Time had flown by since when he had first started his journey. But, never in his life, had he felt something like this. There was a pulling feeling that was fueling his legs to go faster and faster. An excitement filled him in a way that he had never felt before. Not since he was very little, had he been this excited for something.

The tree's and the rocky terrain were nothing like what he was used to when he was younger. There was no snow on the ground, and hardly any barren landscapes. The trees were a vibrant green, with tall, dark brown trunks, and the sun was scorching. It must be summer in this area. He knew that his snowy coat would not like the heat waves that would come from him going further away from where he was born. He would have to stop to drink more water. He already needed to. Drool was forming in his muzzle, slowly slipping out of his mouth, onto the ground that his paws landed on.

He could smell it, though. Water was nearby. This forest seemed abundant in food and water. It would make great hunting grounds. It seemed like it was close to a pack territory. He could sense the borders of marked land nearby. The markings were easy to smell as well.

He would ignore the pull that he felt for now. His instincts told him to follow it, for it could only lead to good things, but his body screamed for water at least. There was nothing else he could do other than take a quick stop. He would follow that pull as soon as he was satisfied. He had learned a long time ago how to pace himself in his travels. He never stayed in one place for too long, but he needed to stop and make sure he ate and drank water. He had trained his body to handle times with no food and water. But that made him appreciate the times he had them available.

"Well, they're certainly not going to let us join," he heard someone say. His legs stopped pumping and he slowed into a quiet walk. There could always be enemies anywhere. That was one of the first lessons he had learnt.

"We won't know unless we try," One woman said. There were two women and one man. The younger woman looked to be pregnant. She had a smell to her that he had recognized as that. She had long brown hair and matching eyes. Everything about her told him that she was a kind and gentle person. But her scent told him that she was a werewolf as well. And he was still wary of his own kind.

The other woman seemed to be a little older. She wasn't an elder, but there were hints of her age showing. She had short black hair. Her eyes were a bright gold color. Age lines on her face showed him that she had been outside most of her life. Her skin was a caramel color, so he couldn't be sure if she had been out in the sun a lot.

"Look, Herb, Jackie," the older woman argued with the other two. All three of them were werewolves, but it seemed like the older woman was the strongest. "I've been tracking and mapping out areas for fifteen years. No pack makes strong boundary lines like that, and wants visitors."

"But where can we go?" Herb said. "We have nothing but the rags on our backs, Madeline! And Jackie's pregnant! We can't keep running around forever. And starting a family as rogues will only make our babies life worse when they grow up." He looked similar to the pregnant woman, Jackie. Only his hair was darker and his skin was tanner than hers. He grew a small beard that looked like it hadn't been kept in a while.

"I'm not disagreeing with you on that," Madeline said. "I'm just saying that the Crescent Moon pack isn't a good option to try and ask for membership."

They were arguing by the creek that he had desperately needed water at. He was lucky that they didn't hear him sneaking over to it. Even if they were weaker than him, he didn't want to get into a fight. Fights were just a waste of energy. Energy that he needed if he was going to find the source of this pull.
