He needed someone to talk to. So badly. Nick needed someone to talk to about that man. They had only been talking to him for an hour, but it seemed like mere seconds. He wanted to talk to him more. Alistair seemed to have countless stories.

And there was that strange feeling he got when he was with him. Nick hadn't felt anything like that before. There was something about those red eyes that always had him wanting to look at him. He did a good job playing it cool after he first saw him. But he couldn't deny the feeling that he got when they touched.

He had felt so bad when Alistair put his head down. He had a lot of muscle, it was easy to feel intimidated by the albino. But he looked so scared when Ed growled a bit at him. That was how Nick knew he was harmless. He seemed much more like a gentle giant than anything else. Ed was happy that Nick had gotten him to talk. Apparently, he had only answered the bare minimum when they asked him questions.

When he touched his arm to try and get him to not fear them, he felt something he wasn't expecting. Sure, Alistair seemed to have a unique scent that Nick couldn't seem to get over, but he couldn't just leave it at that after he felt those sparks.

There was only one reason that a werewolf felt sparks when making any contact. And it shouldn't be possible. Not for him.

Which is why he desperately needed someone to talk to.

Nick pulled out his phone. It was charging by his nightstand. He had been busy with Ed for the rest of the afternoon. There was no way he could talk to him about it. They still didn't trust Alistair. If he said that Alistair might be his....

Well, he just didn't know how Ed might react to that.

It wasn't too late. She might be a little busy with her mate. But she never ignored her phone. And she was the only person that he could talk to about this. She was the only person that Nick could talk to in general. Charlie was a good person to talk to, but he wasn't Katy.

"Please answer," it was night now, and he had been tossing and turning trying to get some kind of sleep for work tomorrow. He just couldn't, though. He kept on thinking about how warm that pure white skin felt.

Every ring was torture. He needed to talk to her. At least once. It had been a week since he had seen her, or heard from her.

"Hello,"

"Katy! I'm so glad that you answered. There's something I need to-"

"This is Katy! If you got to this, it means I'm not at my phone right now! Leave a message after the beep!"

His whole being shrank. Of course, he would get tricked on the voicemail. He had never had to hear it before. She always answered her phone. When the beep came, he didn't know what to say. His throat got thick.

"I miss you," he choked out. That was all he said before he hung up. He put the phone back on his nightstand and curled up in his covers. He felt so lonely without her. The only thing that comforted him, at least a little was the moon that shined through his window.

He couldn't keep crying about this. This happened all the time. It was only natural that people move on with their life. He just had to get over it, and move on with life.

Whatever life he had.

He looked out his window at the moon. It had been bright the whole week. He liked to think that it was to comfort him. But it was probably just the fact that it was summer, and the moon always shined brightly in the summer.

Nick wondered if Alistair liked looking at the moon. He had been to so many different places. He wondered if the night sky looked any different up north.
